This was a real disappointment. We were part of a group of 20, two tables of ten. The menu was pre-arranged by the host, and the price was pre-set at $100 p.p. + tax & service, plus drinks. Of course the service was 18%, which was fine. And when we got there we were told we could each pay our own way.

The biggest disappointment was the small portions of food for the price. It’s meant to be a sharing menu concept. But the portions just didn’t satisfy. For instance, for the main course, we were given one small plate of carrots and one small plate of frites for 4 people. I regret not taking photos because the portions were laughable. Only when I questioned did they bring out more! This was consistent for all 4 courses. It was as is the kitchen had miscalculated how many dishes to send out.

The service started out well, attentive. But as soon as the first course came out, we felt rushed. One server who was bringing out the food was calling out the names of the dishes so quickly that we couldn’t understand them. We felt rushed to finish our dishes, as they were clearing even before some were empty! Once, out of principle, I told the waiter to leave the dish with the two asparagus pieces.

But when dessert should have been served, we waited 40 minutes!

The food was good, and nicely presented, though the beef dish had more fat and grizzle than it should have for this type of establishment.

All in all, a very big and expensive...

Our first dinner out since the re-opening! When I called to make reservations, Gabriel was friendly and reassuring about the guidelines. Large and spacious terrace is beautiful, if you’d like to share the experience under the stars. The restaurant is magnificent and a great vibe! Great lighting, massive windows, art, bar, table settings and comfortable seating. Tables are spread out and there are partitions where necessary. Tables are carefully cleaned and disinfected between seatings. Waiters and waitresses all wore masks. Service is exceptional (as always). They work as an amazing team, offering wonderful pairings and recommendations. Always seem to be there exactly when you need something, never intrusive. The menu (as always) outstanding. We enjoyed the Oysters, Tuna Crudo, Torched Salmon Sashimi, broccoli, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Octopus tempura, Veal Fillet and New York Cut. All prepared in the most wonderful and delicate sauces, perfectly balanced, never overpowering, always letting the star on the plate shine through, all platted like works of art!! The incredible name Jellyfish, Crudo & Charbonyou should be an indication, that the experience will be fabulous and one that you will always remember! We enjoyed a lovely walk around Old Montreal when dinner was over. So glad to be back!! Can’t wait to return!!! Don’t forget to ask about the name “Jellyfish”!! Thank you very much for a very special...

A good restaurant, with a great drink menu. But prices could be a bit updated.

The service is good and pretty energetic, we were served rapidly and all courses arrived at the same time.

The cocktails are pretty good, the jellyfish rum based cocktail was interesting but the ginger was too present, masking the rest of the cocktail shy. Their cucumber spritz is really good tho !

I took a beef carpaccio for the main course. For 25$ I was expecting more from it, the meat was okay and the portion was a bit small. If only it was not bathing in sauce (maybe put the sauce on the side so the client can choose how much sauce he wants or dip the meat in it, for an Asian fusion restaurant it would be a creative way to bring a bit of the shabu shabu meal to a Italian staple). The aspargus emulsion was great.

However, I paid 8$ for fries on the side. Honestly I was not expecting that fried potatoes with salt would cost that much (it’s a third of a carpaccio !)

The s’mores pie was delicious, it was a good suprise for 8$ (again, are fries worth the price of a s’mores pie? I don’t think so !). The presentation was great, and taste balance was amazing, I would come back just for that pie.

Overall, I think the food is good but the menu’s prices and the experience could be improved. It’s not bank for your bucks and I can find better value proposition within...

I totally loved the overall experience here! I would recommend booking way ahead of your dinner. The tables indoor get booked really fast. We got a table outdoor dinning area. It was beautiful with lights and flowers. Could get a bit cold so make sure you have a sweater. The food was absolutely amazing. Every bite was a delight. I loved all the rich flavours of the food. The chicken and Rotelle were my best dishes. Can’t describe the feeling of that chicken in the butter sauce that accompanied it. There was also the fried fish(I can’t remember the name) it was fresh and well prepared. It also had an amazing sauce to go with it. I ordered for medium rare steak and it was yummy! The Rotelle came with oxtail and mushrooms in it and portion is large so can be shared by 2. We were stuffed and had a wonderful time here. It was my birthday and I got a complementary piece of cake on the house. The cocktails were great as well. The service here was exceptional. They made sure we got our drinks topped regularly. They were patient, explained the dishes, made great recommendations and overall were courteous. Overall, this was an awesome experience. I literally had zero complains. Lol 🤣😂 except the fact that I was over fed. Every meal was delicious. I will definitely love to come back for my dates.
