My recent dining experience at Moneme Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary, a delightful journey through the best of French cuisine. The occasion was the renowned "Montreal à Table" event, and Moneme's offering was a standout.
The moment we entered, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfectly setting the stage for an evening of culinary indulgence. The service was impeccable, striking a fine balance between attentiveness and giving us space to savor our meal. Each staff member displayed a deep understanding of both the menu and the art of hospitality.
The food was the star of the show. Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the finesse and flavor that French cuisine is celebrated for. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was elegant, and each bite was a testament to the chef's expertise and creativity.
The wine pairing was exceptional, elevating the meal to new heights. Each selection complemented the dishes flawlessly, enhancing the flavors and adding an extra layer of sophistication to the dining experience. The wines were not only delicious but also introduced us to new varieties, making the evening educational as well as enjoyable.
While the proximity to the TVs was slightly distracting, it was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise perfect evening. A seating arrangement slightly farther from the screens and away from the hotel lobby would be ideal for those seeking a more...
Read moreI was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The food was fine, but the service was very uneven. When I walked in, I was handed a menu and then I sat myself down, but then I was just left waiting forever. The staff were too busy chatting with each other to notice me, so I had to go up and place my own order.
After about 45 minutes, the waiter finally realized the kitchen had forgotten half of my order. They offered a free dessert, which was nice, but the wait continued. I didn’t get my fries until much later, and then the rest of my food came even later than that.
The waiter was polite, but the whole experience just wasn’t great. On top of that, I could hear the kitchen staff yelling and dropping things, which didn’t exactly create a relaxing vibe.
Then when the bill came, I was shocked to see a 15% gratuity already included. Tips should be left up to the customers who will decide depending on the quality of the service provided. Honestly, this was a frustrating experience and I definitely...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Monville this past weekend. The restaurant is inside the lobby and me and my girlfriend enjoyed our time at the bar and eventually decided to dine at the restaurant as well.
Rafael (I hope I am spelling this right! So sorry) was phenomenal. Incredibly patient, caring and attentive. His service really made everything that much better. While the food wasn't at the highest level, it still was good and tasty. The Caesar salad was great, but the gnocchi was a bit sweet and the Angus Streak had more of a roasted beef texture (stringy).
Either way, it didn't detract from our time. I wish I had gotten the other server/bartenders name but he was great as well so I do not want to detract from him either. I think overall the service is amazing but the food could use some tweaking. I would love to come back in the future and see how the...
