Went for dinner there last night and since my stomach has been acting up. I’ll spare you the specifics. But I went to the bathroom there at one point and I definitely believe that if a restaurant has nasty bathroom which are customer facing, the kitchen that we don’t see is probably worse. Well this was one shared bathroom for all clients with 3 stalls. 2 of them already had stuffed paper in and you could tell that just was not gonna work, and the one that may have been functional, will it wasn’t. There was tons of water on the floor, it was so slippery yet also sort of sticky and when I mentioned it to a girl that was upstairs she did not seem to care nor to have gone and do anything about it.
I do want to say the server granted Gus situation was very good. The restaurant was filled and he was really trying hard to be quick and serve everyone the best he could but the guy was literally alone. There seemed to be one other guy in the kitchen and this girl that I saw at the counter and maybe the kitchen but who knows what she was actually doing.
No wonder they have nasty bathrooms and most likely kitchen when they don’t even start the place. Don’t really know how the poor guy could have got time to do anything about it.
Wouldn’t be surprise to hear this place got shut down after a health...
Read moreIt's always been our thing to eat Asian food no matter where we travel. We usually try at least a few of the local cuisine, but always default back to what we enjoy best. We were in search of Korean in Montreal and Mon Ami popped up closest and highly rated to us. However, they were closed on Tuesdays. So we were able to find this Express location.
They are a small location upstairs in a suburban neighborhood. The staff consisted of 3? people. Lucky, we beat the dinner rush, but we ordered the soy garlic Korean fried chicken, the spicy pork rice bowl, and the tofu soup.
The Korean fried chicken was superb! Some of the best I've had ever. The skin was super crispy and the sauce was flavorful. The spicy pork bowl actually came with a lot of meat, the spice could have been kicked up a bit. The only weird part was they put way too much dressing on the salad that came with it.
The tofu soup was solid flavor, just the seafood they added could have been more.
Overall, a nice little gem to get your Korean fix if the main...
Read moreFirst impression is that the cook is very welcoming. The store is close and will open after 30 minutes but I ask if I can come inside and they allowed me eventhough they are busy preparing inside the store.
The cashiers are friendly. It is about 5 minutes before the store is open but already asks my order. I told that she can take it slow and I'm not in hurry. They just smiled and take my orders openly.
The store is clean. I like the view of the street while viewing inside the store. It is airconditioned and with a TV (TV is not yet opened when I came. Probably they gonna open it later).
After I made an order, it took only about 10 minutes and it's done. It is quick enough for me. The price of the food are reasonable.
The only missing in the store for me is the WiFi connection. Not really needee but it is a plus in a store because most of restaurants are WiFi ready.
The store is near Metro Plamondon or Metro Cote St. Catherine (Orange Line STM).
Overall, I recommend this to try out! I like the...
