We liked the food (hotdog) and loved the fries, but service was less than the bare minimum!! Honestly, 3-star should be more than enough but we liked the simple menu, the drinks were great but boy oh boy, we had to beg to get someone attention to remind them we're almost finished with dinner and ready to leave but no fries yet, helllloooo!! Fun part wad the 2 gentlemen who looked Tobe owners were standing by the patio, but not paying attention to the customers, like we were just $$ for a good Friday might dash!! Later on,our hostess joined them too, leaning to a tree just by patio chatting, while not a single person helping patio customers! LOL! Good hotdogs (not been BTW) for a casual chat, snack & drinks, but not a place if you expect a bit more attention or a dinner.

This is the worst bar ever and racist we had to leave cause the blond bartender didn’t get a tip from someone and then stormed at us who were standing at the bar trying to order a drink behind the guy that didn’t tip and said “if you guys are not gonna tip I’m not gonna serve you ” this was our first time here me and my girl that was very disrespectful .I am a server and understand that the tip is important but refusing to serve people cause you assumed they were not gonna tip cause they’re non white is unacceptable and racist

Great place for a beer & sandwiches. The price it's really good. The sandwich and poutine portion was huge, and it was tasty too. Great beer and we didn't try, but looks like they have a good drinks selection in general. The service and ambience was friendly. They also have a summer patio. The location is perfect, just walking distance from Guy or Atwater metro station. It was a fun spot for a break after a Sunday walk in St Catherine.

Horrible and Disgusting behavior. I walked into the bar with my friend (after a long day) at around 8:30 pm. We went in and sat on the chairs and immediately, a waitress came towards us, we thought she was going to greet us or take an order, but boy, Oh boy!! we were wrong. She straight away said, if you are here for the boxing match, we are not playing the boxing match here on tv. First of all it was 8:30 pm, the match was at 12:00 midnight, and how come she thinks that we were there for a boxing match and not drinks? So, does it mean that we are not allowed inside or are we unworthy or do you think we don't have enough money to spend. We felt very awkward and disappointed, and YES, we were brown guys. I went there couple of times earlier, but this will be my last visit to moosebawr. Change your behavior and start treating everyone with respect. Don't come to a conclusion on the basis of how people look. Just to let you know, it was supposed to be a party night, but i left texts to my friends, asking them not to come...

I bought a bottle of Jameson, and drank half of it, and wanted to keep he rest, the bar tender called Zak was super hosting unlike his manager. He said he needed the managers approval whom turned out to be the owner and GUESS WHAT? HE SAID YOU CAN'T KEEP THE BOTTLE FOR NEXT TIME AND NEITHER TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU. BUY THEY ONLU DO THAT FOR ONE PER SON WHOM IS A REGULAR. THIS IS A TOTAL RIP-OFF I HAVE SPENT OVER $300 IN 3 HOURS, BUT APPARENTLY THE OWNER IS NOT KEANE ABOUT HIS BUSINESS, NOR HIS CLIENTELE L, THOUGH THE STAFFS ARE AMAZING, BUT AFTER KNOWING THE OWNER'S MENTALITY, I DEFINITRLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. HOW SHAMEFUL WHEN ENTREPRENEURS LOOSE MONEY BECAUSE OF BAD STAFF, BUT THIS TIME THE PROBLEM CAME FROM THE OWNER WHO WAS VERY PROUD TO PRESENT HIMSELF AS AN OWNER AND TO DISAPPOINT ME WITH THAT POLICY OF WE ONLY KEEP BOTTLES FOR 1 PER SON WHO IS A REGULAR. I HAVE NER WRITTEN ANY REVIEWS WHETER POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE, UT I BELIEVE THAT THE OWNER OF moose Bar has earned...

BEWARE about asking for a double in your drink. Instead, just order a single and then a shot on the side, otherwise, they will charge you the full price of two drinks, even if you only ordered one. The manager said that it is normal. Other bars would typically charge for the extra shot (to make it a double) instead.

That aside,

Good cheap price on food. Foods not bad at all. Free pop corn. Most drinks are well priced. They make a good long island iced tea and one can a beer at $4 (depending on the beer). The atmosphere is chill too.

Service was great .
