SCAM WARNING, READ ALL: I took two of my young cousins aged 14 and 15 for their first ever professional haircut. I specifically booked them for the $50 haircut shown on the website and on the booking platform. The girls have standard, black lightly curly hair, typical of North African women. I DID NOT book for the extra mis en place/blow dry (see attached photos). In the photo you will also see that the prices for these extra features are not listed. They are instead listed in a separate tab on the already very long and overdeveloped website. After taking one hour and a half to cut one of the girl's hair, half an hour extra to the agreed on one hour, she asked my cousin if she wanted to blow dry her hair. Given it is winter and her new cut hair is wet, of course the natural answer is to dry the hair to protect her scalp and to be able to see the new hair. Now, per my previous experiences having my own hair cut, at this point the stylist would clarify that this basic and expected blow drying for some reason is an extra cost. Paula did not inform neither me nor her child clients that this was going to cost extra. Instead, she not only blow dried and straightened their hair without telling us it would cost an absurd amount more, but she took an extra 2 hours doing so. Each appointment for the girls was scheduled to start at 1:30 and 2:30, and end at 2:30 and 3:30 respectively. We were there until 5:30 pm. The girls saved their own cash to pay for this agreed upon $50 haircut each. Paula handed them receipts for $110 and $140, for each girl: $50 each for the haircut, $60 for one of my cousin's blowdrying and straightening and $90 for my other cousin's blowdrying and straightening. Paula justified the extra $30 for one the girls having "longer hair". Paula was lucky I decided to not wipe the floor with her in front of my girls. They were happy with their new hair and I did not want to spoil the moment for them. I also wanted to leave immediately considering she held us there for more than 4 hours. I reminded Paula that I only booked for two $50 haircuts, and she said yes, but that everything else cost extra. She took ALL the cash these two young girls had been saving for a month. I even had to pay an extra $55 for one of my cousin's who couldn't afford it all. Paula is a SCAMMER. She is a liar and a thief who steals from young vulnerable girls. DO NOT come to this woman if you want a hassle-free affordable cut as promised by her own website. She should be ashamed for taking away the positive first-time experience of these two girls, and more ashamed for robbing them of a combined $250. What type of so-called professional hair stylist takes 2 hours to cut a basic layer...

I went there to get a curly perm. I had a really good feeling at first, sent pictures of my hair to Paula and pictures of what I would like. She assured that she could do what was on the pictures, so I was happy. Although when I got there, she started saying we should downsize on the curls, don't know if it will hold, etc etc... Started saying that my bangs were too short and "poor her" that she has to work with that. Anyways, I felt super uncomfortable, nothing was going according to plan. After the appointment, she showed me how to care for my hair with the perm. I did everything she asked and oh boy! I'm gonna need to cut at least 10-15 cm of my hair because it looks terrible. It's super frizzy, the curls don't hold, it looks like a mess. I wish she would have been more upfront about the risks of getting a perm? Not get my hopes up maybe? I don't know, I feel pretty let down, and for 350$, I leggit...

I usually never write reviews, but Paula is so amazing that I had to write one. My experience was amazing since day one, I had a hair colouring as well as Tanino Protein Treatment. The hair colour was exquisite, did not have amoniac so it was super gentle on my hair and my skin (I am extremely sensitive). The Tanino Hair Straightening treatment IS probably the best choice that I have ever done for my hair (I have done colouring, other keratin treatments, bleaching). My hair was super damaged but Paula came to rescue. She was very accomodating when I told her that I had a very busy schedule, she tried to find a good time for me. She is extremely talented, patient and experienced. Her prices are absolutely worth it. Merci Paula, j’aime mes cheveux il sont très beaux!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️ vous êtes la meilleure coiffeuse que j’ai eu!!! C’est sure que je vais retourner à Paula...
