Must-visit Montréal restaurant. My wife and I are visiting from Florida and visited Name’s On The Way for dinner our second night in town. The restaurant is in a beautiful, clean area, and when we arrived at around 7:30 on a Saturday evening we felt as if we struck gold as it was not yet slammed.
Our waiter, Carlo, was incredibly personable and helped us pick out an excellent red wine and meal sequence for the night. My wife and I shared Jalapeño Popper, Sourdough Oysters, Spicy Honey Wings, and closed the meal with the Lemon Pound Cake. Every item we had was executed in such a unique and complementary way that helped move the meal forward. My wife and I agreed that the Poppers, Wings, and Pound Cake were of particular note.
Throughout the night, we interacted with Carlo and the GM, Dominic, and I can confidently say there’s not been many times I’ve been to a restaurant and felt so welcomed by the staff and environment. The space was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the entire staff (namely Carlo and Dominic) set a new standard for what hospitality looks like in a restaurant setting.
From my understanding N.O.T.W. is more known for their bar and late night scene, but it won’t be like that for long. Their dinner program is a force to be...
Read moreI had one of the worst experiences in this restaurant. Throughout the night everything was going great until the end. My waitress shamed me because i didn't give her a big enough tip and she started telling me that now she'd have to pay everyones tip because of me. I don't know how that even relates to me because i still tipped her she just wasn't satisfied. She should remember that not everyone is fortunate and that tipping is a courtesy. I did not need to tip her after that comment but i still did. She continued by telling me that in Quebec it is mandatory to tip 15%, trying to fool me because she thought i wasn't from here because of my physical appearance (i am middle eastern). I don't recommend coming to this place, I felt...
Read moreAmbience was good and food was tasty, but the prices and the size of the portions, seriously?😳😳 This was the tiniest brunch I had in Montréal. I paid 20$ including tax for a bread with salad, avocado and a few sun flower seeds on it. It didn’t even fill half of the plate
Edit: I saw your answer to someone else’s review who had a similar feedback, where you mention “shareable portions”. The avocado bread can not be shared, so that doesn’t count. Please make the portions bigger or make it more clear. You have such a great place but either be more transparent or increase...
