I came here with 4 other people. And we had just eaten right before so we came here to drink and chat. One of my friends didn't feel like ordering a drink, but was going to share with his girlfriend. The waitress (who wasn't really at fault) told us that the policy of the restaurant was to not let someone sit there without ordering. First, we were sitting on a table of 6, and so even if my friend left, nothing about our seating arrangement would have changed. Second the restaurant was half empty (given that it was not eating time). Third, when we asked for the supervisor, he was very non challant and not accomadating. We told him that we are customers who come very often and have been very satisfied about the service and food previously, but this is very unacceptable and just bad customer service. Policies can be reinforced when it is deemed necessary, but there really was no reason to force someone out who was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Instead of trying to rectify the situation, he dismissed us and shrugged his shoulders like it didn't matter to him.
Anyway, I'm very disastisfied. And they lost 5...
Read moreLove this place! Every time I'm in Montreal, I come here several times. Great tea selection, the boba ib HUGE of you order and sit down versus takeaway and is served in a stein, which is awesome. Nice variety of milk teas, fruit teas, and the Pearl's are always perfect.
Had a fresh taro boba last time- it was actual, real taro, which can be very hard to find. Most people think taro is bright purple and tastes like fruity pebble cereal milk. Wrong! This is an engineered powder (that's fine if you like it, I do too sometimes) but it should not be confused with real taro. The staff made it VERY clear to me when I ordered that I shouldn't be expecting powder and that my white self might not like the real deal. They were excited, however, that I had eaten it before. I ordered and wasn't dissapointed! It is actually very light compared to some other heavy taro teas I've had. Yum, yum!
The passion fruit green tea is great too, love it that it has passion seeds just like back in Taiwan.
Haven't eaten here a lot but they have a nice selection and I enjoyed my pancake and...
Read moreYummy Taiwanese food and great bubble tea. I read some of other comments and I just laughed at the one says there are chucks in the bubble tea and that the reason he didn’t like it. Lol Please give me lots of chucks of taro in my bubble tea. I love them!!! The restaurant serves plenty of options from noodles to dumpling. My favorite is rou zao fan - basically is minced pork on rice with an egg on top of that. It sounds simple but it’s hard to make the taste right. Nos the makes it perfect. Another favourite of mine is the beef soup noodle. The braise the beef is very tasty and the broth is delicious. The portions are typically very generous. It’s a great place to grab lunch dinner or just a cup of tea. During dinner time it could be a bit busy but the wait time generally is not that long. The waiting staff are pleasant and friendly. They used to be at the corner of st Mathieu and Lincoln street where Zoe is located. Please check out my review for Zoe as well. Make sure you try...
