Well usually I prefer the service when I dine alone because I know what I want and I'm in and out in a half hour usually. Well it was 3 when I got in, not exactly rush hour for them, it took 10 ish minutes to be seated in the middle of the room, I asked if there was at least a half booth (I saw several still available) she said no, that's fine, but it was noisy, so I listened to some Genesis on my Walkman, trick of the tail, you know it? Anyways I just hate being told three times in a row I'll be right with you now it's 3:24 and I have a meeting at 4, so I have time for toast and coffee , but I didn't want to pay for coffee that I thought would be free with a good meal. So when she finally came I had to excuse myself, my meeting, no time (actually got a coffee and brownie across the street, Presse Caffee). But anyway, when I excused myself she appeared to be pissed off, I'm the one leaving with an empty stomach, If anyone should be pissed it is I. The girl who lied to me about the seating availability said goodbye to me. I didn't answer... I can be rude like that when I haven't had my coffee. Anyhow the majority of people seemed happy with the service and it must be crazy working with the public downtown, but big restaurants aren't great with serving a...
Read moreEvery time I come here it’s been a disappointment with the service. The only reason I’ve come back a handful of times is because there aren’t many breakfast restaurants in the area.
Today they were seriously understaffed, and despite half the restaurant being empty, sat me and two strangers next to each other by only a few inches. This has happened before, too.
The weirdest thing is that the management must see this culmination of horrible reviews, but never responds to them. I guess they just don’t care and are willing to take in the tourists who don’t know better, or the losers like me who have given this place too many chances. On a totally separate note, it’s very expensive for the quality. The quality is fine, but you’re looking at a bill 20$ for any speciality option, at least. Hopefully one day it gets replaced with something better. If a manager is reading this now, can you say something about this? Are you aware of what it’s like to sit at — for all intents and purposes — the same table as strangers in a half full restaurant, and watch the waiters exert themselves to the bone while still performing terribly? This will be the last...
Read moreI heard a lot about this restaurant, I decided to go but then I was very disappointed with my experience. First entered and they sat us on a table very close to other people then we asked them to change our place and they told us that sections of the restaurant are closed but 10 minutes later we saw other people sitting there. Then we were okay. we hoped that the food is going to be good, we ordered a crepe with extra chocolate, but we were very disappointed with it, it tasted like a plastic bag, and the chocolate wasn't even spreaded. The only good thing about our visit was the fresh orange and grapefruit juice، it tasted good. Anyway I'm very disappointed with my visit, it was not worth it، and expensive. I don't think that I'm going to go back again to this place. Finally, there's a good alternative to have a good and quiet breakfast. Cocktail Hawaii is just on the same street, it is very nice there the food tastes very good and it's not expensive and they have one of the best crepe that I have ever tested in Montreal it is very simple...
