Restaurant Tre Marie — Restaurant in Montreal

Horrible experience. I made a reservation for a birthday for 5 people on a Saturday night at 8 o’clock. Upon arriving, the restaurant was packed and our table was not ready yet. I told the worker to take their time and we were understanding. They put us in a corner, didn’t seem like they were able to accommodate our table of 5 adequately as we were crammed and far away. We waited 30 minutes for the waitress to come over to take our order. Right away, our guest ordered the gnocchi and they ran out. Ok… We ordered our food and drinks. It took another 30 minutes for our drinks to come. When the waitress brought our first appetizer, she mentioned they also ran out of Eggplant parm (which we had ordered as a starter.) Ok.. starting to get more disappointed now. She comes back 15 minutes later with an appetizer sampler and said “Sorry we’re giving this because we don’t have anymore Lasagna”. Two of my guests ordered the Lasagna. Now it’s past 9:30, we got one round of drinks and two appetizers and two of my guests are without mains. We were so turned off by our experience we asked for the bill and immediately left to go to another restaurant. The attitude from the waitress did not help she was very rude and not sincere at all. I had truly high hopes for this place as it was packed and we heard nothing but great things. Will never even step foot in front of the restaurant, avoid at all costs especially if you’re going with a group of people, you’re better off...

I feel like I owe this place another chance after reading the reviews but I thought the food was ordinary to slightly above average and the service and atmosphere rather bad. The place is rather small and was absolutely packed. It felt hot and loud and claustrophobic to me. Service was painfully slow. We waited forever for someone to take our order and even longer for the food to arrive. Even though they had a lineup of people waiting for tables, they made us wait for our checks.

I had the grilled sausage which was rather good but the pasta served with it was mushy / overcooked.

Note: I'm not Vegan or even vegetarian but I do try to avoid the most horrible of meats like veal. Almost every dish on the menu contained veal. I ordered the sausage because it didn't specifically mention veal in the description but I suspect...

Well im sorry to say i was displeased with the service even though the food was very good. Here are a few things i noticed 1- You NEVER put a menu on a table more so on the knife and fork your patron is about to use menus are dirty 2- The place mat container should NOT be in a public erea as it like yesterday fell to the floor and was simply picked up the mat that touched the floor was NOT removed from the container that means that at some point someone will have a dirty mat to eat on 3- The restaurant was freezing i understand the restaurant opens at 5pm and your trying to conserve energy but making your patrons freeze is not enjoyable As for the food it was very good i especially liked that it was not salty and i could add my own to taste Now would i go back NO as point 1 and 2...
