We went to grab lunch at Sue and to see the brand new store. Quite excited. As it is brand new (Opened March 31 I believe) the interior is very nice and the products are well stocked. Obviously being located in Griffintown, the prices are higher than your usual asian grocery store, I would say from 1.5x up to 3x. A lot of pantry items (Sauce+instant noodles) A frozen section (premade food, Carbs and others) and a drinks section. For what I actually got was their Traditional sandwich (Liver Paté, BBQ Ham and vietnamese sausage) 11.95 and a Sue lemonade (lime juice and watermelon syrup) 5.50 For the sandwich, as a Banhmi I honestly rate it as 3.5 out of 10 The bread didn't feel the freshest and was a little chewy. The liver paté had a strong metallic taste compared to the usual paté. The meats were honestly all over the place, as the BBQ ham was like 45% fat and didnt taste much. The vietnamese ham is not your usual ham (Cha lua), if it is all housemade, it would explain most. The sandwich was also made pretty sloppily as the contents were spilling out because it was not made properly. A good thing though is that it was plentiful! A a regular sandwich, I would give it a higher rating about 6.7/10 My coworker who got the Cha siu one said it was good, maybe I will try that one next time. For the lemonade, all I can say is that it was quite sour, in a good way. It makes you pucker up. Just a tad too sour for me, so 7/10 All in all, i would put it as 5.7/10 For the service, the cashier had forgotten to ask the size for the drink and assumed, and had gotten my name wrong. Relatively fast though. Would I go again? Yeah, theres not too many lunch options around, and I do wanna try the rest...

We added a little spice to our sandwich, because we love it that way, and it was wonderful.
We had the pleasure of trying several other menu items, starting with their delicious chicken bowl, which was very satisfying. The fantastic spring rolls were served with a delightful sauce. We also enjoyed a refreshing papaya salad that was crisp and vibrant—definitely a must-try!
The restaurant's decor is beautiful, calm, and relaxing. Additionally, @sandwicheriesue doubles as a grocery store, where we found an array of cool items and exotic beverages that we couldn't resist purchasing.

Read moreThis restaurant was within a very short walking distance from the hotel we stayed at during our first trip to Montreal (Hotel Alt Montreal, highly recommended!) and we loved it so much that we went a total of four times during our trip! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Service was super quick, and we only waited a few minutes to receive our order after ordering. The food was simply amazing, and so consistent! Fresh and quality ingredients well put together, and the bread was on point! Will definitely make a point to stop next...
