I love this place and bring all my friends here! I live across the road and was so happy when a cafe opened in the neighbourhood. The food is delicious and staff and environment friendly! The reason I can't give stars is that they do not offer gluten free alternatives. Just one bread and a desert would be enough! I have suggested it was greeted with no interest with the response "it will never happen". I have celiacs disease and sit and look a my friends and family eat bread and dessert every time I go there. I can only eat salad or soup and the staff is kind and omit bread from my plate before serving to me but it would be nice if I could have a gluten free bread instead! I do understand the implications of offering gluten free bread! It can't be made on the premises and then the responsibility if someone gets sick from making a statement that you offer gluten free alternatives! I am sure they can find a way of doing it as many cafes do offer it!!! Considering I am not the only person with gluten sensitivity and celiacs out there it would kind of a trendy cafe to offer more than what they feel is enough and go there the distance for a...
Read moreI’ve been here a handful of times since the location is convenient for me. I originally was only going here to get sourdough bread once a week but then decided to try their food and drinks. I will say, the atmosphere is cozy but depending on the time of gets very busy and hard to find a seat - good things is not everyone lingers and eventually you’ll find a seat.
What I ordered/Have Tried: Grilled Cheese, Italien Sandwich, Parfait au Yorgurt Grec and drink wise I always get their Vanilla Late with Almond Milk with caramle drizzle. I’ve tried it cold and hot and both are amazing.
I feel like when you dine in, your drink portion is more and when you also dine in to eat, the presentation of the food is great! The staff if friendly and the food comes out to you pretty fast considering how busy it gets.
Highly recommend and if you find yourself waiting a long time, just browse the furniture store next door to kill...
Read moreI used to go every weekend since I moved to Griffintown, but I am not going there anymore and the reason is terrible customer service. I am a vegetarian, so I always avoided products with meat at this bakery. Yesterday, when I ordered mini miche bleu et noix, I was handed mini miche apero, which is filled with bits of ham (not to my knowledge). I realized that the bread had ham halfway through eating it. Not only was I disgusted at this discovery, but I was also upset at their employee for having gotten my order wrong. Later when I went to confront the very same person for giving me the wrong product, she told me that I was pointing at the mini miche apero. How ridiculous! I had clearly said what I wanted and I had pointed at the right product. The last thing I wanted to hear from their smug employee was an excuse and an accusation for not getting my order right. This kind of customer service is...
