My husband and I have been going to TAZA FLORES since we first met. In fact, our first date. he took me there I still remember it like it was yesterday. Suffice to say, I have a soft spot for them in my heart. Use to loooove the food. We took my brother and his fiancé there last night on a double date, raving about the place the whole way. We hadn’t been since the new owner has taken over and. it. was. DISGUSTING!!! LIKE SERIOUSLY DISGUSTING. NOTHING had TASTE and it was CHEWY. Pretty overpriced too, this tasteless watery octopus was 32$ (we unfortunately ordered two of them). Waiter and busboy were super nice but the service was sooooo slow, it took 35 minutes to get our first order. which was.. bread•••👀😬 oh and BONUS LOL when i told the manager its been really long we're waiting, if they could pleeeaaase just bring out the bread, he ran to the computer. I went to the bathroom and as I was walking back to the table he stopped me and YELLED AT ME!!! yessss he yelled at the hungry pregnant girl. he said "NO! you're wrong! it's been only 25 minutes, the food is on the table and you're not the only people here!" (he then emphasized that there was ONE TABLE of 2 that ordered before us) my response to him: "okaayyyyy" cause seriously what do you say to that???

Went for a date on a cold winter Wednesday so the restaurant was about half full. We were seated quickly and service all night was extremely fast. There was about 1 staff member to every 2 tables so we got excellent and constant service (for water, drinks etc). We had ordered a variety of dishes of which I thought the best was Hangar Steak, Beef Tartare and the Hamachi. We also ordered the Broccoloni, Duck, Beet Salad and the Potato Mille Fille. Nothing was bad but I found the Potato the least flavorful and tasty. The desert menu was pretty limited with the only options being a Tiramisu or a Citrus & Pistachio Yuzu. We shared the tart which was delicious. Overall had a great experience, nice ambience, friendly helpful staff and the food was very good. I don't really think it was worth the price if done frequently but once in a while is nice.

From the very beginning, the experience was excellent: we made a reservation and everything was perfectly organized. The place looks beautiful, with a cozy atmosphere and a décor that makes you want to stay. The soft lighting and the style of the space make it feel special from the very first moment. As for the food, the dishes were truly delicious. There are plenty of options to try, and each one surprises with its mix of flavors, making the culinary experience even more interesting. I highly recommend the “Beef Tataki.” The staff was extremely kind and attentive to every detail. We were welcomed with a smile, and throughout the evening they made sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth made the experience feel like having dinner with friends. Definitely a place I would go back to and highly recommend.

We were served by Eli & Charles, and I have to say their service was impeccable. Eli wasn’t even working anymore, he was enjoying dinner with a friend but he made sure to take extra care of our table that walked in (unknowingly) close to closing. They both made sure we were taken care of at all times, recommending us the best champagne I’ve had in awhile, and multiple dishes for our group of four. They made sure to give us the history of the place, which really sets the mood. They both really knew their shit! I am quite the foodie, having tried atleast a hundred restaurants in montreal and the food was divine, SO delicious. We enjoyed the Japanese bread, obsessed. we ordered a second immediately, it better be there the next time I go. We had the beef tataki, SOOOOO GOOD!!!! the kitchen had closed but we literally would’ve ordered another, it was that good. I was sad i couldn’t have more. We also had the grilled octopus, very good, aswell as the kale Caesar salad, and I HATE kale, but this was so delicious we were also going to order another one of these. We ordered some other things too but these were the three really worth mentioning. You need them. Thank you both for your hospitality and wonderful food, as well as your local wines, we’re...

I went last night with a friend for my birthday, it was our first time trying Taza Flores and we were so excited as we had heard about how amazing the food is. The food was excellent, however I am not sure if I have ever received worse service in my life. We were seated right away when we walked in and the restaurant was relatively empty at this point. 20 minutes later no one had come to see us. When we finally asked the bus girl if we could maybe order a drink our waiter finally came over. He then wanted us to order our food right away. We received our food not long after, and I must say it was all very very good. Our waiter never once came to see how we were doing, if we were enjoying our food, never poured any of the expensive wine that we ordered…we sat with our empty plates until we had to get up to find someone to ask for our bill. We were going to order dessert, but we couldn’t find someone to even ask. For me service is a huge part of a dining experience. Although our meal was delicious, my friend and I left with a very irritated and disappointed feeling. Not sure if the food alone is enough to make me want to go back, which is...
