Had the coconut shrimp po boy and home fries. Boy was I disappointed. I'd seen them in movies and tv served in Cajun restaurants. Lot's of food trucks in the US have them as well. I'll never have it again. Here at least. Fries were limp.
Rosie's is too small. Some people find it charming. I do not. People were waiting so I ate quickly and left. There was a mom and 4 kids lingering at the back table. Drinks were mostly finished, leftovers boxed. Totally oblivious to other people waiting. The waitress should have said something. I spoke to the elderly group waiting and told them what was going on. They seemed tired. I wouldn't have waited. There were at least two couples that didn't stick around while I was there. You have Brown's, Crushed Can, Cornerstone, Mitsu and Houston's all within a stones throw away.
Edit: " A po' boy is a New Orleans-style sandwich, similar to a submarine sandwich, typically served on New Orleans-style French bread. It's known for its hearty fillings like fried seafood (shrimp, oysters, fish), roast beef, or other meats, often dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayonnaise. The bread is crucial, with a crisp crust and soft interior, perfect for soaking up the flavors of the fillings and any accompanying sauces like remoulade."
Your sandwich had 6 deep fried, battered shrimp, cheese and pineapple. Bun was toasted. Something you might do if the bread was past its due date. Hardly what I'd describe as a po' boy.
The fries were bad. Tasteless and limp as spaghetti. Ended up leaving most of them. I would think a chef would never have sent this dish out.
I've eaten there on two past occasions since you've been open. As I recall I had burgers which were pretty good. I'd tried getting in on two other occasions but turned and walked over to other aforementioned restaurants after seeing a long wait.
The lady with kids was boxed up by the time I sat down. I got my meal, ate it, paid the bill and left and she was still there. I guess having the seniors stand 15-20 minutes was no big deal. At least the lady in the wheel chair had a place to sit.
The movie which made me want to try a po'boy was "Chef". Jon Favreau was a burnt out chef that quit his M3 star restaurant to open a food truck.
Other shows you might consider watching "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives". Hosted by Guy Fieri, this show highlights classic American restaurants across the country. "Man vs. Food" is another I'd recommend. They may give you some...

Dear Restaurant Owner,
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my review. I understand that negative feedback can be difficult to receive, but I would appreciate a more constructive and understanding response.
While I have indeed left reviews in other countries, it does not discount the issues I experienced at your restaurant. As a customer, my feedback should be valued regardless of my past dining experiences. It is important to address and learn from any shortcomings to improve the overall dining experience for future patrons.
I had hoped for a more accommodating and customer-focused response from your establishment. Constructive criticism can be an opportunity for growth and improvement. Dismissing my concerns without addressing them does not instill confidence in your commitment to customer satisfaction.
I hope that you will take my feedback into consideration and strive to enhance the quality of your offerings. Openness to feedback and a willingness to make improvements are vital for any business to succeed.
I wish you all the best!

I had a disappointing experience at Rosie's on River Street restaurant, and I would not recommend it. While the service was excellent, the quality of the food left much to be desired.
The cocktails were disappointing as they tasted cheap, and the ice cubes used gave an unpleasant chlorine-like taste. This greatly affected the enjoyment of the drinks.
Furthermore, the fries were mushy and lacked any texture. They were not crispy as one would expect, and it was quite disappointing.
The burger was another letdown. It was drenched in excessive moisture, making the bun soggy and unappetizing. Additionally, the burger patty itself was dry and lacked juiciness, which is a crucial aspect of a good burger.
Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The subpar quality of the cocktails, soggy fries, and unsatisfactory burger make it unworthy of any positive review.
Because of the excellent service I...

Hands-down one of my FAVOURITE burgers ever 🍔 Both Mr C and I tried their Legendary Flat Top Burgers and all I can say is - 100% recommend going here. We love homemade burgers so not only were these made in-house but also it’s also Saskatchewan beef patty 🌾 gotta #supportlocal whenever we can! Now let’s start with my burger!
I got the PB & Dill burger and if you can’t tell from the name - there’s PEANUT BUTTER 🥜 and DILL together in a burger! Who woulda thought combo is friggin’ delish?! 🤤 It also comes with bacon 🥓and deep fried pickles - seriously - you can never go wrong with these two. Thiiick burger with lotsa sauce = very messy me cause I ate it slowly but totally worth it cause I wanted to savour every bite. It came with a side of home cut fries 🍟
Next is Mr C’s Aloha Burger 🍍 tbh I don’t remember what he said since this was a few months back but I do recall him enjoying it as well. He loves grilled pineapple and the veggies were all so bright and fresh that it leveled up the burger 🍔 for sure. He got a side salad 🥗
We came for lunch so the portion was definitely more than enough! Mr C ended up packing half his burger so he could finish his salad and I ate my whole burger and had to leave the fries behind 😅 even sharing with Mr C, we couldn’t finish the fries but it was so good 🤤
We’re definitely going to be coming back next time we’re in town ❤️ and you should too cause they...
