I do love that I can find some hard to find grains and pulses at Bulk Barn but it really could be so much better. It's such a shame that half the store is dedicated to just junk food, while it's tough to find some basic cooking ingredients such as cannelini beans, regular black beans, red beans (they're different from kidney beans but a common bean used for chilis), whole red lentils, just to name a few. Canada is a leading producer of some of these pulses and you can't find them anywhere. At least bulk barn has farro and pearl couscous! Also a hard find around here at grocery stores. I grew up eating these foods and I understand they are less common here, but is the Canadian diet really that limited?
