Absolutely the Best Indian Restaurant in Nanaimo!

Wow! I can’t say enough about how amazing the food at Indian Grill is. This is hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in Nanaimo, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and flavorful experience.

I ordered the Goat Saag, and let me tell you—it was mind-blowing! The richness of the spinach gravy, the tender pieces of goat, and the perfect blend of spices made every bite unforgettable. It was cooked to perfection, with just the right balance of flavors that left me wanting more.

I also tried the Beet Masala, and it was beyond delicious! The natural sweetness of the beets, combined with the aromatic Indian spices, created a dish that was both unique and absolutely satisfying. It’s not something you find on every menu, and I’m so glad I gave it a try.

The flavors, the portion sizes, and the quality of the ingredients all speak to the passion and skill of the chefs at Indian Grill. The service was warm and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

This place has a Great lunch special deal, just like Masala culture, but with a couple subtle differences.

The lunch special at Masala Culture is $14.99 and it's $16.50 here and it's very similar (Rice, Naan, 2 curries, Pappadum, salad) except the main differences is that the Naan here isn't quite as good as Masala Culture (it's still very great, but Masala Culture's Naan is A+ Amazing) but they do include a bit more Naan here and also include two Pakora's with the special.

It feels great to have two Indian places here that both offer exceptional lunch special deals and both with exceptional Curries (I got butter chicken and a lamb curry with my lunch special and both included a generous amount of meat). If you don't mind paying a little extra to have some Pakoras with your lunch special, definitely check...

When this place opened recently I knew I would have to try their food as I believe i have tried every indian restaurant in town to find my favourite. I think this may be my new favourite! I ordered takeaway so I cannot coment on anything other than the food.

I ordered the Chicken Korma and the Aloo Tikki Chaat. I have never had an Aloo Tikki Chaat before, so I have no reference, however I thought this was absolutely delicious. A very generous portion for the price and I would imagine this would make an excellent lunch. Chicken Korma is one of my favourite dishes but everyone does it a little differently, this one is the best in town by far. The flavour is rich and full of different profiles, but mainly there was a strong saffron infusion I believe which was so so good.
