This place is one of my instant favorites. Simple menu. Good prices. Great taste. I went with a friend and got the waffle chicken sandwich and I left with great memories. Don't worry I didn't forget my friend. With good portions and service, this new restaurant has a lot of promise and potential. The open atmosphere and fresh look complement this. Bathrooms are clean to match. There were some opportunities for improvement however. The waffle was served on a deli checkered paper. When using a knife this can cause tearing and can compromise the food by causing fragments of paper. Not everyone wants to eat paper. The tables are clean and minimal but leaning on the sides made them wobble and worried me on their overall integrity. Mind you these are nitpicks as I think this place is great and I just hope they can make slight improvements to make this place above and beyond. Judging by previous reviews they have responded to public feedback and already improved by using better quality cheese on the waffle sandwiches. (which I noticed and loved). Overall, still an awesome place and worth a stop for sure. I personally will be going back!
Edit: They are going to be on skipthedishes soon....
Read moreA gem in a small town. Went to this place as it was highly reviewed and was not disappointed. Had the vegan chicken which was well spiced pieces of vegan meat. Also had the cauliflower fries which were crispy and tasty. Food mate had the chicken: Super crispy batter, tender chicken with moist meat. Batter didn't have spice but would go well with any sauce of your choosing. Mozzarella sticks had cheesy stringy cheese inside with crispy outside. All food came out hot! Each main is $15, apps were $6-7 each. Wish I wasn't rushing to make it in time for the ferry otherwise, would've enjoyed the service. The wait staff were pleasant and aimed to please. Small place but knows how to make chicken. Be careful with the sauce was spicy...not for the light hearted. Would request to use the batter to make deep fried oysters and shrimp. Serving local beer from Vancouver which had several types for all beer lovers. Overall: One of the top chicken places in the country...if you can get...
Read moreThis place sells American Kentucky fried chicken disguised as authentic Korean chicken. The spicy and sweet flavor (one of their chicken flavors) is literally just one of the other flavors dipped in low quality Panda Express orange chicken sauce. As for the price; it’s almost three dollars for a can of pop, eighteen dollars for eight tiny pieces of chicken that’s mostly fried skin, even what little meat it has look and tasted like bone soup if it was only bones and meat. Sure the chicken skin is quite crispy, but at the same time it’s so oily that I feel like I just drank a spoonful of oil with every bite I take. I do not recommend coming to this place unless you doesnt mind paying triple the price for kfc. Side note: The service and atmosphere were both decent but that doesn’t really matter when the food tastes like below...
