Where do you eat when you're traveling? People recommend here people recommend there. But who or where do you believe will be good? Well, it's always safe to go to a pub. The food is delicious, and the ambiance is great, especially when there's a sports game on. The big screen TVs and amazing atmosphere pump up the crowd and get everybody to enjoy themselves. Then there's the food. My husband ordered the Canadian Mr. Weir pizza. It was loaded with pully cheese, lots of mushrooms, and pepperoni. He liked it. I had the 7 oz burger with pickles, lettuce, and cheese. It came with delicious crispy fries and I asked for some spicy mayo on the side. The burger was also very good. The only issue we had, was that the food did not come to the table hot. It seemed as if it sat in the kitchen for a few minutes which gave it just enough time to cool down. Would we go back? Maybe.

Good portion sizes and relatively simple menu with good options. The food itself was okay - the buffalo chicken mac and cheese was pretty bad, while the fish and chips were quite good. Really enjoyed how filling it was. The person serving us looked like they’d rather be anywhere but here, though. We asked if they could recommend anything, and they said “i dunno. everything’s popular.” Kinda just being short with us the entire time, like we inconvenienced them by being there. Just not really a great time, but not bad if you want something classic and affordable. I can see why the locals like it.

Went out to Niagara today and stopped in at the Sandtrap Pub & Grill for lunch. The ambiance was great and every table was occupied when we left. We were greeted by staff and they were friendly. We were told to seat ourselves which I was not expecting but I liked. Service was prompt and friendly We received our lunch quickly and both my husband and I were pleased. He ordered the turkey club with fries and I got the French onion soup 🍜. Both meals were fresh and tasty. The fries were fresh and tasty, not greasy ! Excellent lunch out. Thank you. Highly recommend !

My husband and I used to go here for years before the pandemic . We used to make the drive out for their pizza and wings.

We decided to visit them again. Firstly, this place is not very wheelchair friendly. There is a huge lip on the door that is dangerous for a wheelchair to go over also, the sidewalk around the entrance is incredibly narrow and almost impossible for a wheelchair to turn around .

We went around 4:45 and figured it wouldn’t be too busy and get our email quickly. It wasn’t that busy when we arrived.

We were seated and quickly greeted by a friendly waitress and asked what we would like to drink. Another brought us our drinks, and another took our order.

We ordered bang bang shrimp as an appetizer, pizza and some wings.

It took about 20 minutes for our appetizer. The shrimp were just over fried shrimp with a chili sauce to dip.

We waited for almost 40 minutes for our pizza and wings. During that time only once did another waitress come and brought my husband another beer but left the empty class?

When we finally got our pizza, it was horrible. I could barely eat one piece. My husband only ate two slices…only because he was starving. The dough tasted as if it was cooked from frozen and not well, either. It was that soggy type with no crunch to it at all.The cheese on-top was cooked too long and hard . Not what we remembered at all. The wings were good and we ate those.

Not one waitress came over and asked how our meal was. We felt forgotten . After awhile, one finally came and said she would get a box for the pizza. Not even acknowledging that 3/4 of the pizza was uneaten . We just paid and got out of there. No staff helped us out or anything. Dining patrons offered to help us out.

We were very disappointed with our visit. Soured our entire evening, as we don’t get much time to go out as a couple. We won’t be back,...

My husband and I were staying in NOTL for 2 days, our whole trip experience was great (we've been here many times before) until our final night here. We didn't get to eat at the restaurant we had planned to go, and found out most restaurants in this area close at 9 or 10, I know it's not Toronto, but it still took me by surprise that everything close so early. I found this pub online and saw it had good reviews, plus it closes late. As soon as we got to the restaurant, no one greeted us or even bothered to acknowledge us. The bartender saw us standing there, and the two waitresses also did, but no one approached us after at least 5-10 mins of standing, it wasn't busy at the restaurant, even if it was busy by their standards, they could have at least said sorry for the wait, we'll be with you shortly. Finally, a customer told us to just sit anywhere. After we sat down, it took a long time for a waitress to get us the menus, another waitress had 2 menus in her hands that were not bring used, but she just went to help another table and wandered by the bar. Our waitress didn't even look like she wanted to serve us, she said welcome in a very cold tone, no smile or apologies whatsoever, the food was mediocre at best, fries and burger bun were dry, and finally we got our bill and paid, we couldn't wait to get out of there, the waitress again said thanks bye in a very cold rude voice. Will definitely never...

I recently discovered Sandtrap, and it's become a favorite spot of mine. I had a delightful lunch here, featuring terrific English-style fish and chips and a surprisingly nice selection of red wines. I know it's not the traditional pairing, but I can't resist red wine, and they do it justice.

Now, let's talk about those deep-fried dill pickles! I'm a connoisseur, and Sandtrap's version is truly delicious, among the best I've had.

Regarding service, it started a bit slow, but it quickly picked up, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The excellent experience prompted me to invite a friend for dinner a few weeks later, and once again, Sandtrap delivered. Even with a line out the door, we were seated promptly, although we hoped for a patio spot - a testament to its popularity.

After dinner, we snagged a patio table, enjoyed some more wine and great conversation and watching other diners enjoy their meals convinced us that Sandtrap should be a regular part of our dining experience. So, if you ever find yourself in the neighborhood with an appetite, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be...
