Donair Dude — Restaurant in North Vancouver

Terrible customer service at DonairDude in Capilano Mall. My husband and I went on May 15th, 2025, about an hour before closing—it wasn’t busy at all. The tall, skinny guy with glasses behind the counter was unbelievably rude. He mumbled something I couldn’t understand, so I told him what sauces I wanted. Then he snapped, "IS THIS ON A TORTILLA?!" and rolled his eyes at me.

Seriously? The printed order receipt—which they reference to make the food—was right in front of him and clearly showed I had paid extra for a tortilla. Can he not read? And if he was still unsure, the polite cashier who took our order was standing right next to him—he could’ve just asked her. Instead, he gave me unnecessary attitude for no reason.

To top it all off, the donairs were barely filled—even though we ordered large. Between the rude service and stingy portions, my husband and I won’t be going back to...

I used to order Donair dude at least three times a week and I loved it. They use to put so much protein in every dish and wrap. That’s why I use to order from them. They never skkkkrwd me over and it was always delicious. Ever since I saw the under new management I thought nothing of it, until my 3rd or 4th order I realized I was getting ripped off! Totally ripped off. I’d order extra protein and they didn’t add any extra multiple times. There was no way to prove it so I ended up getting 2 different proteins to finally prove they were a total scam. I’d order extra chicken and they put 1 tiny piece of chicken so if I complained on Uber eats they could contest it. So you know what I’ll let you be the judge. How much chicken do you see? i used to love this place at capilano mall but now they put one flat teaspoon of food in my pita, too cheap, too bad it used to be so good, no more buying my family food from here and they also jacked up the prices but give us little filling, no thanks for that amount of money i can get a full meal at a restaurant P.s I just ordered a large lamb pita for my son not for me and the guys put the exact small tiny scoops of ingredients as they did for my smaller pita and charge us $4.00 more and I complained they didn't do a single thing.
