Update: Your new vegan burrito is so good!!! Seriously, the Cody burrito wasn't great so I never had a savory lunch item I liked.
But also, the staff member who helped me today probably wasn't trained enough to be on her own. She asked the batista six questions as I placed my order and all I ordered was a tea and a wrap. Then she asked her three questions about how to make a peppermint tea. She forgot to put my wrap on so it took 14 minutes to get it. I was late to get back to work.
2nd Review: I went in today with my friend and her three kids. Every table that could accommodate us was taken up by a single person on a laptop. There was ONE available when I arrived but as I went to put my purse down a girl with a laptop slid in and didn't even make eye contact with me. In the 45 minutes we were crammed into the two seated table next to her, she didn't order a thing and nobody joined her. This isn't a library!!! We spent $40 on food and drinks and had to have kids sit on arm rests and the floor. With hands full of drinks and food we asked two separate staff where we could sit and neither one offered to ask a single person with no order to vacate a table for us. They just shrugged. You once said you'd shut off wifi during peak hours to prevent this. My friend and I have spent thousands at JJs on the north shore over the last 10 years but we're never coming for sitdown again.
Old Review: So many great vegan baked items but their iced teas leave a lot to be desired. It's just their hot teas cooled with ice cubes. I have to grab a drink at Starbucks and stop in here for a muffin or wrap. If they upped their cold drink game I could cancel my Starbucks run altogether. Please get a bit more creative with your...
Read moreI recently visited JJ Bean Coffee Roasters in North Vancouver, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods. The café had a cozy atmosphere with plenty of natural light, making it a comfortable place to relax or catch up with friends.
I ordered a soy latte, which was rich and smooth, and paired it with a pumpkin apple muffin. The muffin was moist and flavorful, and I was pleased to find that it was vegan. They also had other vegan options available, like the Umami Mushroom Breakfast Wrap made with plant-based egg and roasted mushrooms, and the Frankie Goes To Bollywood Wrap featuring spiced cauliflower and chickpeas. It was great to see a variety of clearly labeled vegan choices.
The staff were friendly and helpful, taking the time to answer my questions about the menu. The service was quick, and my order was prepared with care.
Overall, my visit to JJ Bean Coffee Roasters was enjoyable and satisfying. The combination of a welcoming environment, delicious vegan options, and excellent coffee makes this café a great spot for anyone looking for quality plant-based offerings in North Vancouver. I will definitely be returning for my future coffee and...
Read moreRude towards customer & wouldn't wear a mask to make drink!!! My sister loves JJ bean coffee and I usually enjoy going to the Park & Tilford location so while in lonsdale, we decided to go. I ordered and got my drink, however my sister joined me later. When she was ordering, she noticed that almost all the customers (including us) had masks upon entering the store, however the empolyee(s) making the drinks did not! She asked if they could wear a mask while making her drink, however was met with a disrespectful attitude and told that they didn't have masks but had plexiglas separating them instead... this doesn't make sense since the person making the drink is on the same side as the drink while its being made, and only separated from us by the barrier.... but what choice did we have at this point...? My sister tried sitting with me, but was so frustrated by the rude and disrespectful response and lack of concern for public safety during a pandemic, that she ended up leaving shortly after. This made me appreciate and respect the Park & Tilford staff...
