Aviero Bakery in Oakville is an absolute gem that everyone needs to experience. From the moment you walk in, the warm greetings make you feel like part of the familyâeveryone knows your name, and youâre welcomed with genuine smiles. Their service is top-notch, with Priscilla going above and beyond to ensure every customer leaves happy. She consistently puts in that extra effort, making you feel valued and cared for.
Now, onto the treats: everything here is beyond exceptional, from the soft, pillowy donuts to the melt-in-your-mouth cakes, pies, and breads. The pastĂŠis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts) are pure perfectionâflaky, creamy, and just sweet enough. Their Portuguese donuts, or "malasadas," are enormous, fluffy, and packed with flavor. Each baked good is large, delicious, and clearly made with love, which truly sets them apart.
Priscilla recently showed just how much she cares by going the extra mile for a birthday celebration. Instead of just one cookie, as requested, she brought three varieties, including phenomenal almond cookies, macaroons, chocolate chip cookies, and even a cupcakeâall perfect down to the last bite. This attention to detail, kindness, and passion for quality make Aveiro Bakery an unmatched spot for anyone who loves supporting local businesses. You'll be beyond amazed at what they have to offer.    Read moreNice bakery with too much stuff that doesnât belong to a bakery when the space is so small. The line-ups are ridiculous because they havenât found a way to organize their staff. Although everyone is kind and pleasant, the huge staff turnover makes for annoying experience. The new staff would not know what the small bakery items are and they just guess so you end up with different total every time you go there. They do not have price on anything and thereâs noone available to ask. How difficult is it to also add the price on the same label you bothered to attach to the basket??? On top of it, they never give you the receipt other than the one from your card charge. The quality is inconsistent. You grab 2 loafs of the same bread and their size is so different. It is especially obvious with their baguettes. You grab 2 and one of them is about 1/4 smaller than the other one despite the overall circumference being the same. And most of the time they put them in the basket while still warm and you end up with a flat baguette. The sweets are tasty but too expensive for the quality and as someone mentioned in the reviews, they raise their prices too often for no apparent reason. It can be a much better experience if they pay more attention to the quality and...
Read moreEdit: I feel bad updating my review, but I really didnât love my experience. Watching the couple giant flies landing on the breads (loaves/buns), pies, and display case items was such a turn off. I understand flies are common, but I wish the baked goods were covered. Lids over the buns (like at grocery stores), a sliding door on the display case that stays closed until needed, packaging for all individual items on the shelf (like how the shelf cakes are packaged)⌠anything to minimize the risk of flies laying eggs on the products. Itâs not foolproof, but ideally another customer wouldnât have to watch a fly crawling all over the pizza buns and nearby items while waiting in line to pay.
Only lowering my review to 3 stars because I do genuinely enjoy the products, but Iâm unsure if I want to continue being a customer.

This place always has the best baked goods! I like to buy bread/buns from them to make sandwiches, but I end up eating them on their own instead because theyâre so good! And, of course, I love the sweets. Their savoury options are nice too. They have great variety.
Another wonderful thing about this place is their customer service. Theyâre always friendly and do all they can to keep their customers happy.
I wish I could give them more...
