We already loved bbq, having discovered it in California, and in the 14 years since, it has never disappointed. 5 Stars are not enough. And even among the bbq's we have tried, this one is top tier. It is a shining example of why bbq is the largest Fried Chicken chain in Korea. The staff and Owners are kind and ernest. The restaurant is spotless. And they are gracious and grateful for your patronage. It is nice to feel appreciated, as often, these days, if I go to other Chicken chains, I barely feel tolerated, and receive less and less for my dollar. This bbq is definitely geared toward takeout, but the packaging is picnic and tailgate friendly. For this location, inside seating is limited, they happily let our family of 3 cram on to one of their 2-tops, and provided table delivery of the food, as it was ready. I recommend this for a hearty lunch, or for a night when you are too tired to cook, but want something special to share with the family. And everything is fresh, and of highest quality. The fry is always fantastically crispy, and the chicken is never dry or greasy. Seasoning is perfect, and is much less salty than most chains. Keep in mind, this is not fast food, but it is good food as fast as possible. Since this is a Cook-to-Order concept, there is nothing that is grab and go. If your time is tight, order ahead, as each order takes 15-30 minutes to prepare, depending on size, items ordered, and time of day. If you are not familiar with Korean food or Korean fried chicken I have a little advice. Whether you want boneless or bone in, the chicken is prepared and cooked to order, so don't worry, nothing is frozen or factory processed. Some of the items and styles tend to be spicy, so if you have trouble with spicy, be sure to ask what is what. Korean cheese flavouring will be sweet, which is not for everyone, but is yummy if you like it, and something different. The sweet honey and Barbecue sauced chicken styles are indeed sweet, but the sweetness is more natural, well balanced, and sometimes also spicy. Yum and yum. Sides are fresh and healthy, but again, often sweet, and or spicy. The pickled radishes are divine, and the salads are amazing and never boring. Be brave, and a little patient,and I promise that bbq will be a favourite after your first bite. I can't wait till we get one in our city , as we have just relocated. I would open my own if I could afford to. Support quality, fresh food, and if you are disappointed, I imagine you are always disappointed, so guess who the problem is? Peace...

Although I wasn't particularly hungry, I couldn't resist trying a piece of their signature crispy chicken wing, generously shared by a friend. Let me tell you, it was a revelation! It's rare to find a place that excels both in the quality of food and the level of service, but bbq Chicken, with Louis at the helm, does just that.

I've always had to go to either Mississauga or Toronto to get Korean Fried Chicken. But now the bb.q chicken has now opened a location in Oakville area specifically in North Service road it's so much easier for me to get Korean Fried Chicken now. They're chicken is SOO GOOD!! I love their chicken combo- cheesling boneless chicken and fries. The picture I uploaded is the wings which is also delicious. They also have many different flavours if you like a more saucey kinda chicken. 😜 I've always had friendly and great service whenever I order food at this location. This time I ordered Louise served me and he was so nice. He even gave me coleslaw since I opted out of their pickled radish (the radish is great I just didn't want it this time). I asked about their black pepper chicken flavoured chicken and he was able to talk about it that made me want to try. Next time I'll be ordering black pepper to try! They also have dine-in available in their restaurant so if you want to enjoy your food right then and there you can. Their restaurant is always clean and has great atmosphere.
