We had the pleasure of visiting this new upscale gem last week before a movie. We decided to drop by for the "soft" open. We were quickly greeted at the door and sat down wherever we wanted to sit. We chose to sit near the open window as it was a nice fresh day. The patio wasn't quite set up yet. They literally opened the day before.
Vanessa was our server and she was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Sweet girl. We've never tried anything on the menu before so we decided to make an experience out of it. We started with the House Dip. Then ordered a Bitter In Jalisco And a Not Your Typical Amaretto Sour. Both drinks were made to perfection but the sour was fantastic because instead of the basic bar mix/Amaretto liqueur concoction. They use Irish whiskey. Making this a must try.
We decided it was time to order our mains so we ordered the Slow Roasted Lamb Dip Sandwich and the recommended Bo.Vine Smash Burger. Everything was perfect. No complaints about anything but I will say their gravy is fantastic. Highly recommended. We still had a bit of time and wanted to sample a bit more of the menu so we wanted to try one of the non-alcoholic drinks. So we got the Prickly Pineapple which was very refreshing and once again made to perfection.
We decided on the recommendation from Vanessa to try the Bo.Vine Banana Bread Pudding as it was something that she's served several times and couldn't wait to try it herself. So we figured we would be her guinea pigs. It did not disappoint. The Chef even made his way out of the kitchen to ask us how we liked it and whether or not it had enough banana on the plate. We gave our suggestions but you couldn't really go wrong with anything that they made.
The entire staff were very friendly and approachable. They even took the time to come to our table on several occasions to see how we were enjoying it. Including the Manager and who I believe was the Owner. We assured them we would be back and we absolutely will. Especially now that the patio is open. Be sure to drop by and give them your business. Whether it's before a movie or just for a night out. You'll be glad you did 👊
Thank you to all the staff that were extremely...
Read moreLarge group of patrons(9), one bill. One member of our party ordered the Classic Cheeseburger Smash ($21) when it arrived, there was a healthy serving of fries with it that we noticed immediately, figure this is probably where some of the cost is going too as well. Although, once the burger, a "smash" burger (A pressed beef patty on grill to create a THINNER patty) was bitten into a couple times, we used our cellphone flashlight to see in the dim room. We noticed that the TWO 'thinner' burger patties were barely cooked, they looked almost raw on the inside still. Great look for a "Burgers" and Bar establishment for a first time customer.
Our server Jordan, immediately came over and took care of it and had another fired up right away, and to prevent waste, we told our server not to worry about more fries, that he will keep the portion of fries to consume while he waited for the new burger.
A different employee, guessing the manager on duty brought the 'new' burger over, with another large helping of fries(that went to waste), he told the guest "Would you like to cut it in half and make sure its cooked to your liking?"......To their liking?? ground beef is to be cooked to a minimum temperature of 160F.....taking out almost ALL red/pinkness. The burger was not ordered medium/rare....nor can it be served as such since it is illegal to do so in Canada
One plus side, the new burger was actually hot, not barely warm like the previous one(and others at the table)
Once this was done, there was almost no sign of or any sort of apology. Be it a genuine "sorry about that sir", or even as little as "allow us to take care of the soda portion of your bill, its the least we can do" I believe we got a more sincere and shocked apology from Jordan, when he was shown the burger.
**UPDATE--At the request of the "Guest Experience Manager" Arielle, an email was sent to discuss the issue. (Dec/03/24) Nothing has been received back in response as of...
Read moreMy friend and I popped in for our first visit and the entire experience was impeccable.
From the moment we walked in, it felt more like being welcomed into a well-curated dinner party rather than just grabbing a bite to eat from just another restaurant.
Let’s talk about Dominic — not just a server, but more like a culinary concierge with the storytelling flair of a sommelier. His energy was effortlessly warm and genuine.
Every time we asked about a dish, he gave us the full origin story — like the chef probably handpicked the herbs at sunrise and wrestled the salmon straight out the stream with love and tongs.
The way he explained how every element was crafted in-house made the food feel special before it even hit the table.
And when it did? It delivered everything Dom said and more.
Apps, mains, dessert — everything was packed with flavor and intention.
Our drinks were just as thoughtful — smooth, bold, balanced, and clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing.
Shoutout to Asha (I think that’s how you spell her name) at the front! She made the welcome feel warm, personal, and like we’d been there before.
The ambiance was modern, inviting, and designed to make you want to stay longer than you should — which we did.
We loved it so much that we came back the very next week — different apps, different mains, still just as amazing. Jess took care of us that time and she was fantastic as well.
Huge thanks to Dom, Asha, Jess, the bartender (sorry, I don’t remember his name), and of course, the chef behind the curtain for creating a space where the food and the service feel elevated, soulful, and way more memorable than your average dinner out.
We’ll definitely be back — maybe not next week, but soon enough.
If you’ve got taste buds and a soul, put this place on your...
