Dairy Queen on Neyagawa in Oakville, Ontario - Canada So this store needs to be AVOIDED AT ALL TIMES! DQ head office has an app to obtain a free ice cream on one’s birthday which my daughter signed up with 4 days ago. Today, my daughter did everything in her power to obtain her “free “ ice cream however the head office app has allowed 4 days to pass and still hasn’t sent it to her. You can only use your coupon on your birthday apparently and today is her day. So, I tried calling the store to ask them for help and perhaps honour her identification to get her a free ice cream. Yup, you guessed it, the store manager flat out refused our polite request. This made me annoyed to say the least. Annoyed now, I called their corporate head office and explained our plight. H.O thought the Oakville Dairy Queen should immediately honour her I.D without any hesitation and said that they would call the store to see what’s happening. I’m still waiting on this call… I thought, gee, how hard is it to get a free freaking ice cream for Crissakes! So, I thought I’d give the Neyagawa Dairy Queen one more try. I spoke to the so called manager who basically told me - no ticky-no laundry and no ice cream either without a corporate coupon. As a point of principle and for the fact the we spend a couple of hundred bucks there per year, I asked him was if it was worth his digging in his heels over a paltry $4.00 ice cream - he totally refused to cave in. Suffice to say, Dairy Queen and the franchise on Neyagawa has the worst customer service out there. They will never see us again!
UPDATE
2 WEEKS LATER AND NO RESPONSE FROM THE STORE OR HEAD OFFICE. DAIRY QUEEN HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with this location when trying to order a custom cake for my son’s sixth birthday. I initially submitted an order with a circular image for a round cake. About a week later, I received a call from the “cake lady” who was not polite at all—she bluntly told me the image wouldn’t work because their printer only prints square photos. I said it wasn’t a problem and let her know I would submit a new image and switch to the largest rectangular cake instead.
I submitted the new image and followed up with a phone call the following Monday (the week of the party), since I hadn’t received any confirmation. The woman who answered wasn’t particularly friendly and just told me to call back the next day when the cake lady was in.
When I called back Tuesday, the cake lady answered and was again short and snappy. She said, “Yeah this cake’s not until Saturday, right?! I’ll call you back,” and hung up abruptly. She never did call me back.
By then, I’d had enough. I ended up reordering from the Hays Blvd location instead, where the customer service was outstanding. Oddly enough, the exact same cake was also $10 cheaper at that location, which makes no sense at all.
I will never order anything from this location again. If you’re planning something important, I highly recommend...
Read moreOrdered a cake for my husband’s birthday. There was so much confusion from the minute I ordered and I could have executed the design much better myself. The icing job and lettering was sloppy and looked like it was just slapped together as quickly as possible and the photo was tiny. Not to mention there was consistent issues with my pickup time even though I stated what the time would be from when I placed my order. I was not told that the location would be closed for renovations until AFTER I paid and was asked multiple times if I could pick up the cake earlier or if they could drop it off to me because no one would be at the store. These cakes are expensive, I know they aren’t professional cake decorators but I would at least expect mediocre...
