This is a neighborhood family restaurant, frequented by vulnerable sectors such as senior citizens and little children with the trust and belief that Tim Hortons corporate head office, situated a few kilometres away, and the franchise holders take food safety seriously. I visited the restaurant on May 10 2018 at 9.25pm. The counter staff member was using a broom to sweep the floor. She requested another staff member to take my order. To my horror, she leaned the broomstick on the counter and started serving my food. It took quite a while for the manager to come out from the back of the house when I told the counter staff, without specifying the subject, that I needed to speaks to the manager. During this time the staff member was busy serving almost 10 guests behind me, operating cash register, handling cash, touching several machines and shot dispensers and holding the handles of the coffee pots. In between all these tasks she went back to her broom several times and continued sweeping the floor. My real nightmare started when I started explaining what I wanted brings to manager’s attention. Local Halton Public Health bylaw is that there should be at least one staff member who has completed food safety training. My conversation with the manager proved that neither the franchise holder nor the corporate office, operating with the Halton jurisdiction, neglected to provide their staff with food handler certifications. The manager replaced my order with a fresh one but argued with me that they use sanitizer showing me a bucket. She was unable to exhibit her basic knowledge in hand sanitizing. I came out into the darkness and settled down in the car directly facing the counter. My little episode had provided so much amusement and entertainment to the manager and to the entire counter staff they were bursting out with a...
Read moreDon’t think I’ve ever had such a terrible customer service experience.
I ordered coffee and food for mobile order and didn’t see my order after 20 mins even though many people who came after me already got theirs. So I showed the employee at the pick up counter my order numbers and said I’ve been waiting for 20 mins. She said they’ll make it so I went back to my booth and waited for a few mins. When I came back to check, there was a cup of coffee on the counter but I wasn’t sure if it was mine so I waited until the employee came and called for “vanilla latte” twice then said “where’s the lady I don’t see her” and I thought is she talking about me? Then she proceeded to talk to her colleague (who’s a manager?) “idk where she went, if she comes back I’m not making her sandwich” “she was like I’ve been waiting for 20 mins” It is just crazy to me that 1. She was talking about me behind my back when I was right in front of her and 2. that she didn’t recognize me when it was just 3 mins ago we were talking, or maybe she said that on purpose. I understand if she’s bad with faces but to say something like I’m not gonna make her sandwich in front of me is just terrible customer service. And I think I have the right to be at least a little bit upset if I had been waiting for 20 mins for my order. I just walked back to my booth because I was stunned by what happened but what I should’ve done is talk to the manager about this because it’s unacceptable.
In the end turns out I had ordered it to the wrong location, however that doesn’t excuse the behaviour. It doesn’t matter whether I ordered it to that location because we were both under the impression that I ordered and it just wasn’t showing up on the screen, which...
Read moreI wish to give them a zero star. I got a terrible service from them today. First , I was trying to order from drive through and the car in front of me took nearly 10mins. (That is the only car in the queue).I thought that could be the customer’s order must be a huge one until my turn to order.I noticed that problem was from Tim ‘s driving through staff, she seems couldn’t understand English and even not familiar with their menu.I ordered a cheese tea biscuit only, when I collected my order, they gave me a coffee instead. They noticed their mistake and (without any apology attitude)promised me to refund and recharge again. After all these ridiculous wasting time behaviors, I noticed the refund was a charge again with my credit card. I came in the store instead to complain and they said manager is not here, no one will be responsible or help with that. They even took the biscuit back. Thanks for their staffs that I have been charged three times with nothings. Dollar value is not the key. The service really pissed me off and ruined my good mood, totally not worth. I will not go there anymore. The gas station Tim’s near that location is so much better. Hope people will read this before go there. Unless you want to challenge yourself with their slow service and mixed...
