State-of-the-Art sports facility with community rooms for teaching and meetings, huge swimming pool, a modern gym with machines and free weights, yoga, fitness and martial arts studios, a sports bar, fast food, lots of ice rinks with warm galleries, sadly-average coffee, OK snacks and lots and lots of parking.
Oh, and there is a library next door, and sports fields for soccer and baseball and racquet-sports, and an outdoor kids play-area, and 100's of nearby gravel-paved running trails, along rivers and valleys, and...
Mountain bike trails through the woods (mostly unofficial, a kid gets pulled out using a stretcher most years), makeshift outdoor-BBQ's and fire pits (likely very non-official), dog-poop bags hanging from branches and hokey tree-forts full of fast food wrappers and beer cans...
Town planning gets crowded, East of these ravine-lands. When so many people take more than they give, Nature and public facilities get run-down and abused.
This place is currently the best the Town of Oakville has ever done. But despite yearly replanting, and other seriously-huge maintenance projects, it might also require more public respect for this place to...

I was looking for just a table to sit while my kids were in a community room robotics class. I would prefer not to be on my laptop but I needed to use it at this time and the only place I could find was in the skating rink because wall receptacles were not anywhere close to any chairs or tables.
Hopefully this hasn't given up my secret spot, but if it helps someone else out I'm good with that.
The staff are generally friendly but have to work with what they have there. The facilities themselves are great and the staff are...
Read moreI feel this is definitely the best thought out sports facility in the GTA. Great open concept lobby viewing area that reminds me of an airport terminal. The site lines and viewing options are great, you can view in the cold and take in all of the game or choose to view upstairs in the warmth and still be able to grab a stadium style seat. If you prefer the warm and want to stand and get a feel for the game you can choose to view downstairs near the players dressing rooms. The complex also offers food and drink options which includes a normal small concession stand which by the ways serves Starbucks products or choose the full serve bar. Well done on this complex, wish my boy played...
