Great pastries, as always, but lacking in many other very important respects which is why they get only 3 stars. Service was friendly, however the complete inability to make any of the sandwiches offered on large menu boards due to a complete lack of cheese & smoked salmon continues to be a disappointment. The server’s inability to realize this was disappointing. Shouldn’t he know what is in stock? Why advertise these sandwiches if your staff aren’t given the ingredients to make them? How can any cafe offering Danish sandwiches not stock sufficient quantities of 2 very necessary items? How is it that they didn’t notice the large grocery store sharing the plaza and go purchase some havarti, esrom, & smoked salmon? Anyone else can, unless ownership is micro-managing locations thereby preventing them from being able to offer the advertised products? We have also noticed a complete lack of the marzipan stykke in the past several months. A Danish bakery repeatedly lacking in these lovely sample size of the very Danish kranzekage might wish to reconsider just how hygge they truly are. Please spend some $$$ & install the necessary equipment to push a button to open the door. Fortunately, I was not alone & I didn’t have to attempt to balance with 2 canes while pulling or pushing a door to enter or exit. Other people living with disabilities may not have that luxury. If the burger place in the same plaza can do it, why can’t you? These deficiencies will be your downfall. I’m glad to see you expanding, but please invest in your current locations as well.

I'm not sure what these desserts were called, but I'll attempt to describe them, from top left going clockwise: Strawberry rhubarb custard tart was 5/5 - perfect amount of sweetness combined with tartness. Cheesecake was also 5/5 - way better than Dream Factory (Cheesecake Factory). The crust was delectable and stood out, and the cheese part was to my taste. Overall not too sweet and well textured, thus to me, also better than what the best Italian bakeries have to offer. Next was an almond tart with raspberry filling - totally delicious, but I found it a little too sweet, thus 4.5/5. It's like a much better bakery version of the raspberry almond crostata you find in the grocery stores. Finally, the custard Danish was similarly tasty, and the pastry had a perfect amount of crunch. However, I found it too sweet also, thus 4.5/5. I would give this place 4.5 overall if I could. I'm going back soon!

We had heard a lot about Danish pastry house on Trip Advisor being the top bakery in Oakville, and finally got a chance to try some of their delectable pastries 🍰. We tried several items including Viking tart, Coffee Cupcake, Belgian Chocoalate mousse, Almond and marzipan tart, and their senhls (their versions of buns.. pronounced as snails). The taste was pristine, and everything was prepared with love when tasted. I would have given 5 stars if the person who attended us would have been more active in listening to us, and could have provided recommendations when asked. Other than that, it's a good place to eat, sit and have coffee. It's certainly does not deserve the top spot on Trip Advisor for the best bakeries in Halton region. Good, but not the best. There are better ones as well. Cheers!

I am not typically a dessert person, nor do I like the American-style danish due to their heavy, sickening sweet nature. I stopped here to pick up bread and a few kage and pastries for my husband with the intention of taking a bite or two. Before I knew it I ended up eating half of everything and probably would have devoured the whole thing myself! While I personally felt the pastries with fruit glaze on them were a bit on the sweet side, my husband's sweet tooth loved them. I found everything else to be pleasantly balanced. Moreover, both my husband and I agreed that the pastries were light and crisp. The way pastries should be, but never are.

The breads were wonderful, both their sandwich breads and their traditional dense breads. We also felt the price point was excellent when compared to a chain bakery or a high end grocer's bakery. We quickly decided to make this our go to place.

As a side note, the lady who was manning the store was excellent at helping me navigate the foreign names and styles of the breads and pastries. I explained I was new to the world of Danish breads and pastries, what types of American style baked goods we traditionally consumed and she pointed me in the...

A fantastic place with just enough seating to comfortably enjoy a Coffee and a Snack. There's plenty of fresh baked goods to choose from so there's no way you're leaving this place empty handed. They also make a proper pastry! Crafted buttery, flaky and with the right amount of crisp texture.
