Harpers Landing in Oakville is a nice, spacious restaurant located at 481 Cornwall Rd, near the QEW. It has a big dining area with also a choice to eat by the bar. It's pretty busy during lunch time, with the community surrounded by both residential and commercial establishments. I’ve been here several times over the years, and yet I haven’t posted a single review. So today I will just post whatever it is the wife and I ordered. We started with the Crispy Calamari. I highly recommend this starter, most especially if you love picked red chilies and chimichurri flavored aioli. The crispy batter and melt in your mouth squid just oozes with flavor. You might also want to give their Korean cauliflower and Nachos a try. I ordered it in the past, and I just can’t get enough of both. For my main, I had the Moroccan Curried Chicken. The protein boasts of north African spices as a marinade, in almond butter, basmati rice, cilantro, paired with some raita and grilled naan. It’s a spicy dish, and the naan and raita just complement the spice level. The wife ordered the Scallop & Bacon risotto. It includes seared jumbo scallops, in a bed of hot risotto, bacon, spinach, grape tomato with parmesan, and fennel honey. I once had their steak and Parm frites. That is something you should try if you love a good piece of steak. It’s an 8 oz butler streak with garlic and herb parm fries, with truffle aioli and house made demi-glace. This dish is mouth-watering. As well, the Atlantic Salmon is a favorite of ours, the picture included in this post. For dessert, the must-try is Sticky Toffee Pudding. Just make sure to order coffee with it. It should compliment the salted caramel on top of the pudding. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and amazing. They do make recommendations, and they do not disappoint. So if you are in the Oakville-Cornwall Rd area, do give this restaurant a try. You won’t regret it.

I recently dined at Harper's Landing in Oakville and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale and welcoming, creating a comfortable yet sophisticated atmosphere. The menu at Harper's Landing is a delightful exploration of flavors. Each dish I tried was a testament to their commitment to quality and taste. The presentation was impeccable, making each meal not just a culinary delight but a visual feast as well. What really set Harper's Landing apart for me was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. They made great recommendations and were quick to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. Harper's Landing also boasts a great selection of wines and cocktails, which were the perfect accompaniment to our meal. The overall vibe of the place is lively yet relaxed, making it a great spot for everything from a casual lunch to a special dinner. In summary, Harper's Landing in Oakville is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food, fantastic service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It's clear that they put a lot of thought and care into every aspect of the dining experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I normally love this place, but I visited on Friday with an 8:15pm reservation. I arrived with my group at 8:10pm and was told I was late and had to wait for them to clear a table. I showed her my confirmed 8:15pm reservation but still was not seated until 8:50pm. I ordered a “Landing paper plane” cocktail and was served a drink that looked nothing like the landing paper plane (very light coloured, thick foam on top with a dried citrus wheel). I took a small sip and it tasted like a variation of a fruity whiskey sour. As someone with a severe allergy to some fruits, I asked the server what the cocktail was and he said it was one of their sours (I couldn’t hear well with the very loud music), I had pointed to the landing paper plane in the menu and said “I’m sorry but I ordered this one”. Within seconds he returned with the exact same drink in a different glass - which I know because I had bent the citrus wheel and it was the same, the landing paper plane is also served with no garnish. This is extremely concerning and I’m thankful I was not allergic to an ingredient in that cocktail. I found a different server and ordered the landing paper plane and was delighted with a cocktail that looked, smelt and tasted entirely different from the other one I was served.

This was my first visit and probably will be the worst. Our waitress was totally oblivious and inefficient in her role. She did not get one order right the whole night. We ended up having to switch and pass plates round and being a party of 6, that got messy very fast. Their drinks were watered down, the gin and tonic was all tonic and no gin. As for the meals... Well... Those were the most disappointing of all. They were served cold, were tasteless and we had to wait 10 minutes just to get some salt and black pepper! Others ordered a pizza, Brussel sprouts, french fries and a salad, and they all complained that the food was below average and barely passable. We all decided to go for the sticky toffee pudding, and that was a mistake! It was soggy, drenched in toffee sauce and the ice-cream was already half melted by the time we received it. It tasted like nothing but sugar, sugar and even more sugar. All in all, it was a disappointment and a night out wasted. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone. I just want to add that I received a comment from them urging me to reach out to them via email to discuss my review. I did so within a day and it has been 2 weeks now and they have made zero attempts at replying to me or following up.

Had a really nice lunch here. Portion sizes are okay, some could be increased a bit. Food was tasty, all seemed fresh. Side salad had a nice light dressing - not much vinegar (which I prefer), cubed mozarella was a bit meh. Had the burger, which tasted good, meat seemed fresh. Was told that the seafood pasta was great and salmon dish was good as well. Also, had the poke bowl, no concerns there - the sauce was really nice and bowl had a variety of ingredients. The white sangria was really good - pitcher can easily serve 4. Was disappointed that at 2 in the afternoon the cheesecake wasn't baked yet. Hopefully, next time! The inside of the restaurant is quite nice, there are several sections all with a bit of a different design. It's appealing. Like in many places, pillows could use a wash. Also, the chairs are not that sturdy- slip and slide. Overall, had a good experience. Likely will return. Returned June 2024 : 4 stars to 3 Not as good of an experience as the first time. Staff could be kinder and food was okay but for example, the steak was overcooked/charred. The lobster was barely there. Sadly, will not be coming back.

Delicious food ! Loved the ambience . I went along with my 8 month old baby and made her sit in her upseat. She enjoyed the cheese pasta . She was given finger carrots and celery to nimble on . It was a sweet gesture as my baby was teething and the carrots and celery were a big hit and kept her entertained until the food was served . We had landings wings (bbq) for starters and it was scrumptious .Dad and husband enjoyed Moroccan curried chicken and steak and parm frites respectively. I had Landing carbonara which was extremely creamy and cheesy with lots of meat and I like to indulge is creamy food like this once in a while and it was very well made! The steak was well done with a side of fries and it was top notch. We enjoyed couple of drinks and cocktails .Loved the service and thanks to Stephanie who helped us out . There was a mistake in the bill wherein they charged us for 2 starters instead of 1 . But Stephanie quickly fixed it for us and initiated the refund. Overall loved the experience and will definitely come again! 😍
