As Edward Stavin said, this place is clean, bright, and modern. I've only been there twice so I don't have a ton of experience with it, but I loved the French toast I had the first time and the pancakes I had the second time. Absolutely delicious.
However, the second time I was there, I ordered lemonade and it was absolutely awful. I asked for an orange juice instead. It was okay, but it had way too much pulp. Of course, that's the kind of thing that's according to taste, so I won't criticize the restaurant for it. I'm a picky eater and don't like any pulp in my orange juice, but I know some people like lots of pulp, and I can't expect them to please everybody.
I found the service quite good, too â both times I was there, the waitress I had checked on me often.
I must say I also like the layout of the restaurant. There is plenty of room between the tables so it doesn't feel cramped, the kitchen area is open to the rest of the place, which is good since you can see what's happening and wait staff don't have to go way into the back of the place. Condiments and such are kept just outside this kitchen area, for instance jams and such hang in baskets and ketchup is on a nearby table. I think this is very clever since the wait staff can grab things for their patrons quickly and easily, and patrons could also get it themselves â again, it saves time since the staff don't have to go all the way into another room. I really like this open concept design.
I do find it a little odd and inconvenient that they make you pay at the front counter instead of putting money on the table. I don't like to have to leave my table and then have to go back to put a tip there. Another small gripe is that on my first visit, I was supposed to get $2.10 in change, and only got $2. I was too shy to say anything over 10¢ but I thought it was strange. This didn't happen the second time, though.
In all, I enjoyed both my experiences and I definitely plan on going...
Read moreI cannot rave enough about this incredible breakfast spot! From the moment I walked in I was enchanted by the warm, cozy atmosphere. The rustic, woody vibe instantly made me feel like I was stepping into a mountain lodge retreat. This was a welcoming ambiance that made me want to linger all morning.
The breakfast here is nothing short of phenomenal. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious that it was hard to choose, but I ultimately went with their eggs florintine omelette. Let me tell you, it was perfection. My husband ordered the eggs which were cooked exactly the way he asked, the bacon was crispy yet tender, and the hash browns had that perfect golden crunch. They also serve the fluffiest pancakes I've ever tastedâlight, airy, and paired beautifully with their pure maple syrup. Every bite was an absolute delight!
The staff here truly go above and beyond. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and a friendly âGood morning.â They were attentive without being intrusive, always checking in to make sure I had everything I needed.
If you're looking for a breakfast spot that offers amazing food, a cozy vibe, and the kind of service that makes you feel right at home, this is it. Whether youâre coming for a quiet morning meal and an inviting atmosphere, youâre in for a treat. Iâm already planning...
Read moreAs I write this review, I am deeply disturbed and troubled by the distressing incident I witnessed this morning during breakfast. It pained me to see the manager degrade and threaten an employee in such a manner. It was truly disheartening and difficult to comprehend. It seemed that the manager's frustration stemmed from the employee's inability to provide a two weeks' notice. Despite the employee's unwavering patience and continuous attempts to explain her concerns about unpaid tips, the manager callously remarked she had lots of money and lived in a big house and didnât need the employees tips. To make matters worse, the manager went as far as to threaten the employee, asserting that she knew her address and would take extreme actions if the employee dared to voice her complaints to head office. When the employee asked if she was being threatened, the manager shamelessly confirmed it. The behavior exhibited by the manager appalls me greatly, and I am utterly disbelieving that such actions occurred in the presence of guests. Understandably, the employee left the restaurant. My sincere hope is that she seeks justice by taking her case to the labor board. This type of bullying and mistreatment is completely unacceptable. I, for one, will never frequent this particular...
