I went to dinner at this restaurant with some friends on December 30th. By the end of the night I was regretting coming here for dinner. We hardly saw our waiter, he had a horrible attitude and was so rude. The point that made me want to write this review was at the end of my dinner.

I suffer from Crohn's disease and unfortunately everything on the adult menu has nuts, which I'm allergic to, or has their tomato sauce, onions, and other things that make me very sick. I know from experience because I have had their sauces in the past and ended up getting very sick. I looked for an alternative and the only solution I came up with was ordering off of the kids menu. When I asked the waiter about ordering off there he said I can't because it's only for kids so I asked if you charged me an adult portion. Can I order off there? He said let me check with the chef and he came back and said okay no problem they'll do that we will just charge you for two kids meals.

The meal comes with a Coke and dessert. So when the time came for the bill and desserts I asked my waiter if he could take my Coke and my friend's Coke and apply them to my two kids meals because that was the only way I could order chicken fingers and fries was if I ordered a portion for two people and take my two brownie bites home for my daughters.

His reply was "I'm going to tell you how this works, you don't get the dessert and you don't get the drinks because we're charging you as an adult”. I was just going to be ordering two meals together on one plate and I agreed to that. However, not being told this information when I ordered my dinner and only finding out about this at the very end of the meal and the way that the waiter presented this to me was horrifically disgusting. I did not go into detail about how I suffer from Crohn's and I have a very limited appetite and menu I can select off of.

Unfortunately I was not in charge of making reservations for the evening and it was done so because of availability. I only have the appetite to be able to eat four chicken fingers and the plate of fries that they would give with the kids menu anyways but I took home the other part of it for my kids to enjoy the next day for lunch. I realised I was going to have to pay in the neighbourhood of about $25 for my meal so I did not have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is if you're going to tell me that I have to order two kids meals and those come with chicken fingers fries, a soft drink with refills and a dessert I am entitled to what I paid for. you made the exception you need to follow through. If anybody is looking to come to this restaurant I advise you to think again. Based off this experience, think that they really care about people's food insensitivities other than if you're going to have an allergic reaction because you have an allergy to nuts and you're going to have some kind of a reaction in their establishment. The only reason that I did not talk to a manager was because I was with friends and did not want to make a scene. They were very disgusted and told me I shouldn't leave a tip, however against there best judgment I still left a tip. If any managers that work there are reading this, I think you need to have a conversation with the waiter that served me and address how disgusting and...

We visited Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar in Oakville yesterday for Family Day with a big group of 30 people.

Unfortunately, I’d rate the experience 3 out of 5. We had agreed with the staff to assign each family a number to avoid mix-ups with the orders, but despite that, the staff still got it wrong multiple times. We had to repeatedly ask them to stick to the family numbers when serving, but it remained disorganized and uncoordinated. It felt like they weren't properly trained to handle a large group like ours.

While the food quality was generally good, there were a few disappointments. The "Avocado Bruschetta" had barely any avocado, which was a letdown. The "Chicken Parmesan" meal used a smaller chicken piece than usual, and I ordered shrimp for an extra charge of $8+tax, but it was bland and lacked any flavor or seasoning. The pasta that came with the meal was also disappointing – it had no salt, and the entire dish was missing any juiciness or sauce. I won’t be ordering that again. To be honest, I didn’t even feel like taking pictures because of my overall dissatisfaction with the meal and the experience.

On the brighter side, my family members who ordered the "Chicken & Shrimp" and "Pesto Pollo Penne" had a much better experience with their meals. They were happy with both dishes. However, the "Sprite" drink took way too long to arrive, which was odd considering it's a simple order.

Overall, while the food was decent, I wouldn’t recommend Scaddabush for large groups. The service needs improvement, and there are better Italian spots in the area for a more organized and...

We were there this past Thursday evening and I am disgusted with our experience and how the situation was handled. We sat at a booth at the back of the restaurant and out of the corner of my eye I saw something crawling on the wall beside us and it went behind the mirror. It happened to be a large centipede. I was very uneasy about it but didn't make a scene, in hindsight I should have. For the next few minutes I kept looking for it to emerge from it's hiding spot. Low and behold it did. Thank goodness for my son who was able to capture it under his water glass. When our waitress finally came over, we told her what happened. She took the glass away and never brought us a new one. I figured a manager would come over to apologize and offer some compensation. That didn't happen. Our waitress was more concerned about her other table with 20 people. The service wasn't great. We got our food which was ok then we got our bill. I thought maybe there would be a discount or free drinks to compensate but there was nothing. On top of that she charged us for a cappuccino we didn't order. After informing her of her mistake she changed the bill and we payed. I even left her a tip of 15% which I don't believe she deserved. I will not go back to this restaurant. I believe that management should have been made aware of this incident. if she did mention it and they did nothing, the fault is on them. I have never left a review before but felt this was needed. I am writing this review in hopes they learn something from this so this incident doesn't...

Edit...back after a year. Service is as good today as it always has been. Food however is very bland. Disappointing. We have not been here for a long time and covid hasn't helped. A quick rundown of our visit...service was very good. Sydney was friendly and helpful. We ordered Calamari to start, Toscano kale salad with added goat cheese and quinoa and fettuccine bolognese with added goat cheese. (We kinda like goat and feta cheese). Calamari is quite greasy. It left grease on our fingers and the plate as seen in the pics. Manager offered to take them off the bill so that is a positive. Salad was awesome. Gail enjoyed the texture and flavour. Fettuccine was amazing as well. Loved the flavour and balance of pasta, sauce and meat. Well done overall. We will come back. We came back...a year later. Not because we didn't like it before as noted above but covid covid covid. We are lucky and got Sydney again and she is just as friendly and a joy to be around as she was last time. This time we had the polenta fries because Gail loved them in South Africa.these are a different recipe then we had in Cape Town but the flavor was wonderful with a tomato sauce, basil and parmesan cheese. Awesome. Lasagne and super food salad were also very good. I think we are coming back more often. Thank you Sydney for another great night.

Absolutely one of my top fave restaurants. The food is always fresh, hot, and fast. What I really love about this location, though, is the service. Staff are always friendly, quick, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I have said something vague like, "I'm in the mood for something sour, but non-alcoholic," and the perfect drink (which may not even be on the menu) will arrive. Sometimes, my dinner partner and I will be debating dessert after a full meal, and the server will sway us by describing the most delicious-sounding cheesecake. (We lost that fight. 🤣 ) They are also honest about prices, give little suggestions about how to alter your order to save a bit of money, and there is 0 complication when it comes to splitting a bill. On a personal note: unfortunately, the receipt from my latest meal got wet, so I'm unable to confirm tonight's server's name, but the tall, older gentlemen with the glasses and shaved head has waited our table multiple times and he's always a delight. ♡ Thank you for always going out of your way for us, Cheesecake Husband! 💖🍰 Thank you, Scaddabush, for always being something to look forward to. ♡

Came in with really high expectations because I’ve been to the square one location and had a really great experience. Unfortunately this one was a little bit disappointing. The Gnocchi pasta was a little bit sickening. It was too creamy and the texture wasn’t chewy, just mushed in my mouth like mashed potatoes. Not the most satisfying. It sucks because I was especially excited for it. I wanted some protein so I paid $8 to add some chicken and there was so little of it!!!! That really made my experience much worse. There was such less chicken and I can’t believe I paid $8 more for it. So disappointing. The ravioli portion was very small, there were only several raviolis in the entire dish. The only good thing about the food was the fresh mozzarella. It was delicious, and I highly recommend. But don’t get the gnocchi. I’ve had the shrimp linguini before and it’s so much better and so much more worth it. Additionally, the waitress was very kind and friendly. However, it just took way too long to get the bill because she was dealing with too many customers. I was getting a little impatient. Too long to get a hold of the waitress.
