Last Saturday we visited this place, the standards were not up to the pair so I wrote an email to the owners, enclosed below. Since then I learned that the staff is arrogant because the owners are arrogant too. Everything starts from the top. The purpose of the email was to let those two ladies that I wasn't happy and how the staff treats their customers at weekends. I just wanted the owners to acknowledge my email and let me know the outcome of their enquiry. I guess those two ladies deep down dont care about their customers and moreover they do not care for feedback or to improve. Here is my email below dated 05/08:
Dear Madams,
I like coming to your coffee shop because you serve the latte exactly how I like with a glass of water on the side. This reminds me of my European roots.
The point that I notice before is your standards vary very much on weekends when my husband and I come there. This Saturday tipped me over, as usual I was with my husband we ordered the late and the cappuccino. Both came without the water?. I sipped my latte and it didn't taste the usual quality that I am so used to from you guys. When I went to complaint to the barista he started to lecture me about the latte and how it supposed to taste!? He then said sorry and that was it. I pointed out that the standards of the latte were not what I am used to but he sticked to his story what the latte is and how it should taste. On top of that he informed me that he was the barista and wouldn't do anything about it. Shocking!
What kind of customer service skills are those? Doesn't he realise that people like me pay his wages and he is there to serve his customers and if one of us is not happy to try to correct the mistake. It was like talking to the brick wall. He just didn't want to take any responsibility for his mistake. He spoiled my treat for today.
Oh and another thing couple ladies came after us and their coffees were served with the glasses of water. This left me with the following questions: -My money is not good enough for your guys. -The lady behind the bar didn't like my face or the face of my husband. In this day and age who discriminates customers like that?!
I look forward to hearing from you.

May11th definitely not worth the price of any entry, even a stolen "free" entry. Nice studio w/ mirrors and floor. DJ is not a pro. Just a regular who put together some songs and pressed play with little regard for flow and mix. I chose this over Dovercourt which only charges $10 for a real DJ, with a lively all ages pretty crowd.
TofC Salsa Night may be good for absolute beginners and for those that go to bed early, or need to go home to watch the news.
Even disappointed w/ service. Paid at counter for admission, signed in names on list, and person coldly greeted me to take my $30 CASH even for late entry!! With no warm welcome or smile!!! Then at end of night my freeloading friend was specifically called over and offered free leftover salad that was going to be dumped! Person behind counter is a fool! Maybe it's because I was a visible minority and she was not? It's Oakville afterall!
What a person does to comfort a friend with a broken heart! Hopefully friend's heart heals as I would avoid this place, even for Fair Trade coffee (Bridgehead in Ottawa...
Read moreAn adorable little coffee shop in downtown Oakville! Definitely worth a visit for anyone passing through and it seems quite popular with the locals. Went around 2 pm and the place was packed. They have excellent quality coffee and it’s all fair trade. They also offer lots of little Latin delights, from empanadas to dulce de lêche desserts. They bake their own but also have pre packaged items from Colombia and other places. They also sell coffee and tea. The special thing they offer here (and almost no where else) is Pan De Yuca, an incredible bread from Latin America. They were sold out when I visited so I will go back to try it and write another review but I’m definitely excited to find a place that bakes fresh pan de yuca in Canada. The coffee shop also seems to have tons of social activities and events which are held in their “Salon”; a spacious room next door that’s set up for dance classes, yoga classes or different kinds of meetings. I had the mochaccino which was perfect as I prefer hot drinks that don’t have added sugar, they only add cocoa so it tasted great to me. Their latte is also quite good as you can tell that the coffee used is of high quality. It is a little tight at the coffee shop area so it gets a bit stuffy but it had a nice cozy vibe to it. Will visit again to...
