Hero Certified Burgers - Bronte — Restaurant in Oakville

Had a really bad experience yesterday at this location.

My husband and I walked into the Hero Burger Bronte to get a burger and fries. We stood at the front counter for about 5 mins. A customer who was waiting told us that we had to order off the electronic menu. That was fine, however not being familiar with the menu we decided to go with the daily special. Being a Sunday it was the signature burger. ( No description on the electronic special.) You are assumed to know what that is. I thought that signature burger would be a plain burger, as the pop up menu came up with choices. I am on a strict medical diet and was specific that I only wanted avocado. My husband added cheese

We opened our burgers and to my dismay my burger had relish, onions, tomato, cheese and a smattering of avocado.

I went back inside the restaurant and said that I think that there was a problem with my burger. The manager came and was immediately aggressive. He asked me to read "my name". I said Ben. He yelled no. Read your order. So I read " signature burger". He yelled at me that's what I ordered and I should not complain. When I explained that I misunderstood the menu. He then said too bad. But really rudely. I said to him that he could have said that nicely and he told me he didn't have to. I said no you didn't have to but I can report your rudeness. He told me to go and try. There is noone to complain to . I told him that I would certainly complain. I then left my burger where it was and told him to eat it.

I then gave Hero Burger the benefit of calling them first to let them know if the poor customer service. The manager was RIGHT. There is NOBODY to complain to. After listening to a list of about 20 extensions, not one is customer service. Every extension is unavailable - it didn't matter what extension I tried.

Too bad Hero burger. I will never walk into another of your locations. I will be sure to share my story.

Please note. This story is not about the burger. It was the poor way the manager helped me. His rudeness and aggressiveness is totally unacceptable in the real world. Sadly for them, Toronto has...

I love Hero burgers, but this location in Bronte is weirdly laid out and very dirty! You order through one of two touch screen displays which were filthy and had no option to customize the toppings on your burger, they have a sink in the dining area, the floors were dirty, the tables and seats were sticky and covered with leftover food/crumbs, you get your own pop from the machine…. Filled a cup with Sprite and found black bits of some substance floating in the drink (maybe the lines were not clean) dumped it out in the sink! Washrooms disgusting….. dare not touch anything

My family didn’t want to eat at this location after walking in….. but we did! really surprised with the dirt at this location especially being on Lakeshore rd in Oakville

Too bad…. I like Hero burgers…one in Burlington is gone…. Now this one is off my list!

The arrogant reply from the owner says it all….I was having a great Sunday when we visited…My family of 4 wanted to eat in the car, I suggested we eat inside…bad decision. My opinions are honest and to my standard, if you refuse to take accountability then that’s on you!

Don't live far so though take out would be fine. Got home and fries were fine (expected to be cold...that's take out) but surprisingly the bun was cold (not room temp but cold) and all the toppings and condiments were cold and the beef didn't retain any heat whatsoever. I was confused because it was under 10 minutes in the bag and when I got to the sandwich it was cold. Like everything was cold. I know they Cooke's it fresh because I waited and only 1 other order was made and I said I would wait for a fresh patty to be cooked. Anyway it was awkward to order and receive, the bathroom was disgusting (used itwhile I happily waited), and because it is this tiny window where a solo cashier appears and disappears instantly, the service was not what I would consider even a blip on a radar. Save yourself the trouble and just get something else unless you have no other...
