Some commit mistake and learn. Some listen to feedback and learn. Some do not care. They defend themselves and justify how customer is wrong and how they are right. They are too full of themselves and cannot learn. 1000 curries is one of those types. There are so many people who have given feedback that your portion size is small but this restaurant is adamant and insist that they have portioned it well. This restaurant can never be successful in their lifetime when their customers are leaving hungry. The portion size is small to the extent that I can say that this restaurant is deceiving unsuspecting customers. We ordered papadum and they served microwaved papadum. It is very callous on their part not to cook food by proper method. We ordered Dal Makhani and they embed 3 - 4 large tomato chunks inside the dal which reduces the volume significantly in a small serving bowl. It is impossible to eat one serving of rice with that small quantity of dal. We ordered Balti veggie with two Naans. It is insufficient to eat two Naans with it. This is ridiculous. On receiving feedback, I know the restaurant will defend by giving weight or pieces they serve. As regards taste, I would say it is not bad. It is not something that will want me to come back. We were still hungry after the meal but instead of ordering more we chose to leave and eat elsewhere. We were clear that this restaurant does not deserve my money sheerly for their attitude.
Addendum to the reply from the owner. How ridiculous can a business establishment be. I very well knew the response. It is not about the mathematics of quantity you serve. It is about what customers tell you. There are umpteen complaints about quantity and you adamantly stick to your rhetoric. You can survive till such time someone else opens up a restaurant and finish your arrogance and monopoly. You will learn a hard way. Anyway. I am clear I am not returning to your restaurant and will strongly suggest others to avoid your restaurant at any cost. Good luck with your dream world...
Read more1000 Curry is nothing else but 1000 disappointments. My wife and I went there for dinner on Friday July 8th and it was a ripped off. First impression of the place is already a bad one. The place looked like in need of some urgent decoration. Cheap plastic table and chairs scattered all over the place. We waited by the entrance and nobody bother to greet us and offer a table. I had to actually walked over the counter and asked if we can have a table for 2. Looking how unattractive is inside we decided to sit on the patio. The patio was empty except for 2 guys finishing their drinks. Dirty dishes all over the other tables. The waitress just packed all the dirty dishes on 1 table, wipe out one table and here you go. She came back 15 minutes later and took the order. I ordered a beer in the meantime. 40 minutes later no sign of the dinner or the waitress. I actually have to walked inside and ordered another beer until the dinner arrives. When the dinner finally arrived it was pretty shocking how this place doing business. My wife ordered a chicken korma and I ordered lamb cooked in tomato sauce with onions and peppers. The waitress doesn't know which one is which. She gave my wife the lamb and the chicken to me. The chicken Korma looked like anything but a chicken korma. The lamb came in a sauce looked more like a soup and no veggie to be found. The food was not fresh, tasted like frozen foods that have just been warmed up in a a microwave. Not to mentioned you have to pay extra for naan and rice. I been to Indian restaurant for years, I am actually part Indian myself but this place is an insult to Indian food. Do yourself a favor go next door to McDonald or KFC at least you know...

Had high hopes from the restaurant considering its ratings. I came here yesterday 825 pm (restaurant has a closing time of 9 pm). First we had to wait at door with no one to take order. Next when the person came she said we can only do takeouts ( we said ok). When we started ordering in few mins then she said sorry we cant take any orders.
We were very disappointed (and hungry). We did not have lot of options that time for veg food but luckily managed to get something elsewhere
We gave this place a benefit of doubt for the day.
I came here next day around 445 pm to try the food again. First the waiter made us stay in waiting area for 10 mins (the place was not even crowded and just had two table occupied). Next we got a table. No one came to take our order for another 10 mins so i went in and asked. The person said in an unapologetic way - the server will come once they clean the other table.
I still did not mind. Next I asked if they can take my order at counter. The guy started taking my order but said we cannot do tea right now. Also i felt - it wasn’t that they were short of ingredients (it’s just that they did not want to do it for some reason)
This is when we decided to leave.
We were super disappointed with the experience as both of the days we came up while we were suoer hungry and were denied proper service. I hope they improve in future and others don’t have to go through such a horrible experience.
