Hong Won Chop Suey — Restaurant in Ontario

I chose this restaurant over the competition in town because it boasted a 4.2 rating over a 3.2. Ordered some General Tao chicken to go. Something in the sauce had gone sour. I tried to separate the batter from the chicken but had to give up halfway and throw the rest out. I thought the fortune cookie would help me forget the taste. I have had worse American Chinese food, but I have also had better. The rice was not seasoned very well, and the vegetables in the chow mein had been overcooked. Overall flavours were not bad, but a little bland for me. Service was a bit slow, however, they did appear pretty busy when I went in. The chicken balls and sauce were very good, and I didn't mind the Szechwan chicken either. The staff that I spoke with were busy and a bit terse, but very polite and easy...

Authentic Chinese food with flavors and portions which rivals or beats the very best from Toronto. Prices are very, very cheap for portion of food served.

As a person who's travelled the world and ate at some really nice restaurants, this is definitely one of the best "comfort food" Chinese restaurant out there. If they were in Toronto, I would proudly eat here all the time....
