When most Canadians think of Boston Pizza, it is Jim Treliving, the Co-owner & Chairman of Boston Pizza International, who appeared on Dragon’s Den for fifteen years.
During my first week of October 1978 working at the Daily Herald-Tribune in Grande Prairie, Alberta, I remember being treated for dinner at the local Boston Pizza by a reporter colleague, named Gary. I still remember eating a delicious stew of Roman-Style Chicken Cacciatore over broad egg noodles. It was a rustic savory dish featuring umami-rich blanco wine sauce!
I never in my wildest dreams would believe I'd be eating great Mexican cuisine at Boston Pizza. Originally, their Barbacoa Burrito Bowl was only going to be a one season special, but has caught on with Chatham diners to become regularly featured on the menu.
Bowl features: Barbacoa Beef, fire-roasted corn, Quinoa, Brown Rice, onions, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream, jalapeno peppers, ancho Chipotle sauce and an added side-serving of hot wing sauce that tasted like Frank’s Hot Sauce. As French Canadians say… Superbe & Magnifique!
My wife loved BP’s Three Cajun Fish Tacos featuring: Avocado lime creama sauce & tomatoes on Cajun-dusted fried Haddock, and a side-serving of Toss Salad drizzled with...
Read moreThe two stars are for the lady who attended to me and my family. I and my family walked into the Boston pizza restaurant in Chatham st Clair to be precise. I really am not a person who likes to base everything on race and all but the treatment we got from the receptionists was not one that should make us comfortable to eat at the restaurant. Secondly in all restaurants I’ve been to, the receptionists leads you to your seats or finds someone to but instead we were told to go find our seats all by ourselves. I felt uncomfortable to eat there but cause of the kids and because we really wanted to dine at this restaurant we had to stay. We found our seats, asked to talk to the manager and her response to the situation was that the receptionist action was because she was too tired and that they’ve been working all day. But in all of this, kudos to the lady who made atmosphere comfortable for me and my family to dine at this restaurant. I hope no one else gets treated this way in the future. I hope that this won’t repeat itself and that someone can see to this. It’s...
Read moreTheir burger was some cheap grocery store patty, but with a good bun and fresh toppings. The fries were absolutely terrible. Take the worst cheapest quality frozen fries at the grocery store and cook them in your oven at home and they will be slightly better than Boston Pizza's fries. Kelseys has amazing fries. Even nearby burger King has way better fries. Really Boston Pizza??? You cant at least have decent fries. Also, the older woman with blonde streaked hair doesn't smile and we were unfortunately stuck with her as our waitress.Luke does anyone that does the hiring process understand that when you hire someone to be a server,he or she should have a friendly personality, not be miserable and unprofessional. We just ate and paid and left, there was no desire to stay there and have drinks. My sister said write to them and tell them,I said why? I dont want to come back. The food isn't good at all. The service wasn't good. Who would want to go back? I just wanted to add...At least the lady (hostess)at the front with dark hair was very nice. Courteous and...
