Not impressed with the management of the Chatham Location. Staff unfamiliar with products and daily meal deals. My wife ordered what was essentially the Tuesday Night 2 pc. meal deal and payed $5 dollars more because she doesn't like fries. She opted for a small mac salad.I'm assuming the young lady that took our order was relatively new but she was totally left unsupported by her co-workers and Manager. If there was one their at all. She was seen leaving the floor to compose herself and when she returned it was noticeable she had been crying. It was like Popeye's Bingo as to who might get their order first. It was lighthearted at first but as I sat and watched my wife eat her overpriced meal I waited as did many others for mine to come out. They eventually called me up, not to get my order to asked if I had gotten my cups for a fountain drinks and gave me two cups. I asked about my order and they said it would be out shortly. I could see my huge order of 3 tenders and fries sitting in the racks and they had to clarify what I had ordered. Finally one of the cooks came to the front to help out and served me something I didn't even order. He turned around and within 20 seconds had it sorted out He then explained I could have ordered a drink and payed 30 cents than my total bill. Wow I couldn't even respond. I felt badly for the young lady who served us and was clearly left hung out to dry by her co-workers. It might have been her first day and likely her last if she was smart and quit. I absolutely Love the food at Popeye's and have been to a number of locations. I' drove a half hour into town to enjoy this mess and about 25 bucks lighter in my wallet for it. I might be back but not anytime soon. Coach your staff to support one another, stop rolling their eyes at each other and embarrassing newer and younger employees. It bordered on workplace harassment. Read moreI've never eaten at this chain before. Here's my first 2 experiences at this location. First trip here-Placed a mobile order and went to pick it up. Some of the items I ordered were no longer available at this location (really sad about the fish as this was the entire reason I picked this establishment for dinner!), the manager stated she was unable to refund and I had to pick from 2 items she was willing to swap it out for, neither of which was the same value of the missing items. She was really nice, and I felt like her hands were tied on what she was allowed to swap. I sent in an email to the mobile order customer service and was told they'd refund for one of the items and add a credit for a free 6 peice nuggets for my next order, I was more concerned to have the unavailable items removed so this didn't happen to other customers, but it was a really nice gesture. I have yet to receive the refund. It's been several weeks, so I'm not holding my breath. Second trip here-I placed an order again through the mobile app and was sad to see that you could still order the items not available at this location. At this time, I also discovered that the credit for the complementary nuggets was not there. When I was picking up the order, the staff was delightful! Everyone was super friendly and all smiles. Brought everything out to my vehicle, and one employee was running up to me with a container of Mac n cheese that wasn't put in the bag! Highly recommend this location for the employees'...
Read moreService wasn’t bad but my experience wasn’t that good. checked on skip to see the full menu and the wings platter said that their wings were seasoned with Louisiana seasoning, with a list of sauces you could get on top. So I drove to the restaurant and went thorough the drive through, I placed an order for the 6 wings platter with garlic parm sauce as I was excited to try them . After I placed my order I went up to the window and the lady said you know their ghost pepper right and I said no I didn’t know that because there was no indication on the menu or anything . So I ended up having to get something else because I didn’t want hot wings. Anyways I get my order and as I’m driving away I see a sign in the window with all the flavours listed , And saw garlic parm as well with ghost pepper and some other things . So I went in and I asked to double check if this was really the case, that all the wings are ghost pepper and they just add the sauce and they confirmed that is the case and I asked if they had to tell every customer that and they said yes . Anyways , all that being said either it’s poor advertisement or something else but I was pretty disappointed. I really wouldn’t have gone all the way there if that was the case . The things is , I’ve literally had plain wings from there and there wasn’t any ghost pepper on there. The workers were nice enough , but the story just didn’t sit right and seemed not very honest .
