Ok so we've been here a few times. I've raved about it to friends because of their ability to accommodate for food allergies. Tonight of all nights it was a disaster. We made reservations for 7:30. Got there on time and was left at the door for 20 minutes. The people behind us got tired of waiting and escorted themselves to the bar. We waited with another couple at the door for another 10 minutes. By this time it was 8 and at 8:05 or so, someone finally came over and told us we could go have a drink at the bar while they flip tables. Fair enough. We go and sit. The 2 couples that were there after us were seated first. When we were seated, we had to put up with pot smokers near the door that kept walking in and out and the heavy smell coming in each time they opened the door. ( Not the restaurants fault but added to the aggravation. Hey pot smokers, if you can't go without a joint for the duration of dinner, GET SOME EDIBLES have some resepct for others eating etc. ). We placed the order, and with the reservation I made it clear I had food allergies. They said it wouldn't be a problem and was never one in the past. The waitress asked what we wanted and I advised of my allergies. She hummed over the menu and said she's not sure what I could have. My husband spoke up and said we reserved and specified so there should be a notice somewhere about this. She then confirmed my allergies of egg and dairy and went to the back. The waitress came back and said she lost our ticket and needed our orders again. Came back a half hour later with the first course and mine had cheese. Sent back to the kitchen. Then, came back with another salad, quickly thrown on the plate, missing some ingredients. But whatever, I ate it and it was good. 2HOURS LATER we were still sitting there waiting for our food and finally gave up. I went to her and asked for the bill and she told me the food was ready. I don't believe it was because she was serving others drinks, and not making any attempt at salvaging the disaster this turned into. Oh, did I mention I was elbowed in the head by a waitress rushing by. That was just the cherry in top. I asked for the bill for the drinks, we left. My suggestion is, don't go when you know it's going to be busy. Or when you want...

I finally was able to experience this fine French cuisine restaurant. I had the coconut shrimp with nouc Cham as our appetizer. Every single thing on my plate was edible and delicious. The coconut shrimp was huge and extremely fresh. The dipping sauce was absolutely amazing and paired with the coconut shrimp. Even the shredded carrot on the plate as a garnish was delicious. I ordered the 8OZ PAN SEARED TENDERLOIN Pommes dauphines, sautéed mushrooms and demi cream. Cooked to perfection. The mushrooms were so tasty. The potatoes were out of this world. We ended our dinning experience with the LEMON POPPYSEED MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE it’s was Light and creamy lemon cheesecake with sour cream poppy seed topping…. Yummy Our Server Danielle was amazing and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and how the food was prepared. She was able to answer all our questions. You can tell she loves her job and working at Juniper. She couldn’t say enough about her owner/bosses. She has very high praise the boss that cooks all the meals. She’s a big fan of her cooking abilities and adores her as her boss. She seems to love the staff she was working with. I could see them working together and helping each other. The whole atmosphere in the restaurant is very inviting. I highly recommend taking someone you love to enjoy the experience and amazing food. Thanks to all the staff. Your such a great team. I’ll be back for more food...

This was the best meal I have ever had.

I drove all the way from Barrie as a friend sent me a voucher, it was beyond worth it. I have had some amazing meals in my life but Chef Andrea took food to another level.

I felt so moved by the effort, quality and care she put into every detail that I asked to meet her after the meal. I think I thanked her a dozen times. She is a truly gifted artist on all levels.

I would describe her as a genius and a major hidden gem and one of Canada's bests chefs period.

The quality of the ingredients selected, it was as if she went to the market and hand selected every vegetable for aesthetics and taste. Amazing and creative food combinations, and textures. Each plate was an adventure with hidden delicious surprises that wowed me.

Everything was cooked to perfection, the quiche redefined quiche and was my favourite of the dishes I tried. I ordered a lot of food because I wanted to try everything, lol.

I've never had a food experience like this and am telling every one I know how great Andrea is. You can tell she loves food and is living her passion.

You have to come here and appreciate a culinary superstar. I even asked for her autograph. I love cooking shows and her dishes and skill would blow them out of the water. It's like having a Michael Jordan prepare a meal for you. I can not express my appreciation enough in words and this is my humble effort. Thank you so...

Took my partner here for his birthday dinner! We both dislike pretentious restaurants and were worried this would be that type of place. The server Andre was super friendly. We ordered the charcuterie board, everything was delicious but the pork terrine and the chicken liver pate were outstanding! We ordered the Muskovy duck breast and the seafood linguine. The duck was really tasty and the lentils and beets complimented the duck really well! Very tasty! The linguini - the Scallops were amazing! The sauce was creamy and rich. I am always skeptical to have pasta dishes at most restaurants as they always end up giving you pasta and sauce out of a can/jar, this was fresh and absolutely exceeded our expectations! The ambiance was really nice too, dimmed lights but not too low that we couldn't read our menus, candles and nicely/simply decorated. Another important thing for us was that there was hand sanitizer readily available at each table and social distancing was not an issue Overall, well worth the drive from Guelph - the service was great and while the food was truly fine dining, there was no pretentiousness felt at all throughout our dinner! We definitely look forward to trying other dishes on the menu soon!

We were brought to Juniper Dining Co. by our lovely friends who live in Paris, ON. It's a delightfully charming restaurant with a creative menu. Our server was quite good. We were welcomed warmly into the restaurant and our coats were hung up for us. I highly recommend the incredible local Ontario wine that we had- this was my favorite part of the meal. Sadly, I was slightly disappointed by our meal. My escargot was nearly flavorless and the amount of brie atop of it completely overwhelmed the dish. My husband's Pork Rinds were delicious, though the dipping sauce was a touch heavy. Still- the pork rinds arrived to the table crackling- wonderful! My scallop and lobster pasta dish was tasty, but it could have used a touch more seasoning (according to my palate). Everything was cooked perfectly though. My husband's 8oz Pan Seared Prime Filet was tasty, but again- a touch under-seasoned. The chocolate cheesecake was too dense and the flavor of the banana macarons was good, but they were chilled- not ideal. I wouldn't complain about these things except for the price indicating a meal without these types of missteps.

Wish I could give 6 stars to this outstanding fine dining experience. Danielle was a fantastic server who was warm and knowledgeable about the menu. The chef personally served a few of our dishes. Every single course was flavourful. This was a memorable meal — scallops and pork bellies, coconut shrimp, burrata with peaches and prosciutto, seafood roll and chips and the chocolate cake and beignets were the grand finale. This hidden gem is just off the Main Street, over the bridge and has plenty of parking. We will be back to Juniper and I recommend you make a reservation to check it out. You will love it
