I went with my significant other for beers. The atmosphere was nice, the barman was very friendly. It's a cozy pub. You might be wondering why the low overall rating. It's the cleanliness. I spotted a roach roaming on side of the bar and I turned on my phone light to check that it really was a roach and it was. The problem with roaches is that if you spot one, then that means there's a lot of them roaming about. The under side of the patron side of the bar is covered in gum and there were flies everywhere (not fruit flies, the really nasty house flies). For decades I’ve been enjoying this historic pub. These days, under the management of Jordo T, the music scene here has blossomed into an eclectic mix of different artists. Some, like tonight’s headliner South River Slim, have a very loyal following, so it’s best to reserve your table early. Ok now that thats out of the way lets get to the food. Every monday and friday the have a burger special on for 2.50 comes plain jane want more toppings? No problem add them for a small cost. I got a great tasting burger fresh cut golden fries and a drink for 6 bucks. You can not beat that for the price and quality of the burger....
