Was excited to try this place because they are open late and I love a good bubble tea. My boyfriend and I sat and looked at the menu, then decided what to order. We went up to the front to order and the 2 people behind the counter seemed to be rushing around like crazy. There were a couple other people waiting for orders, so my boyfriend and I just stood patiently. The woman even came to the side of the counter to hand the other people their order and definitely saw us standing there waiting to order, but didn’t even say anything to us. Literally after standing there for about 10 or 15 minutes with absolutely zero acknowledgment (didn’t even so much as to look at us), we decided to go eat somewhere else. Ended up going to The Barrell House and had some great food in a nice restaurant. After reading all their reviews here I’m kind of relieved we didn’t end up eating here. I get that places get busy and swamped. But to not even acknowledge your customers are standing there waiting to order for 10 minutes is extremely unprofessional and rude. They either need to hire more people or learn more about proper customer service because this...
Read moreI went here yesterday with my sister, it was absolutely the worst service I've ever received. We waited ten minutes to receive a paper to write in our order, then waited a half hour for our spring rolls and another twenty minutes for soup and so on. We were there for a hour and forty minutes before we got all of our food. Then was told to go to Hurricanes next door to take out money since there wasn't debit (even though we should of been told before we started eating). We went back to pay, even though it wasn't deserving. We even told the owner we were disappointed and the food wasn't good either. We got the 27 piece with three different kinds of California Rolls but we only received the one kind, with bad rice. I'm glad we can joke about this, it was the only reason we were keeping it together...since we were so livid. We were going to leave, but felt bad since it is product they were going to waste for nothing. Unfortunately, there's people in the world who wouldn't tolerate half of the wait or even pay for the matter. Wont return again, hopefully they learn to improve...
Read moreWhen I went to Q-Tea for the first time, it was ~7pm and the place wasn't very busy. As I walked in I could smell something kinda nasty, but maybe that was a product of somebody working with Durian at the time - it really didn't put a damper on my experience. They are also apparently OLG certified, which was definitely confusing but at the end of the day I'm sure someone likes to order their bubble tea with a side of lottery. Q-Tea has a disproportionately sized menu for a bubble tea place, but the drinks are very good. I didn't try any of the food, but a lot of the selections seemed to be little appetizers similar to what you'd find at a sushi place. Given the menu size there is a wide variety of drink types to choose from, whether it be regular tea or yogurt/fruit slushes. I particularly enjoyed the selection of flavours and the option to mix whatever flavours you want. The lady working at the time was kind enough to sway me from ordering a sesame-durian yogurt slush, but hopefully I'll be able to convince somebody to try...
