Flavours of India is a perfect for anyone seeking an authentic and delicious Indian dining experience. From the moment you walk in, the aroma of spices and the vibrant, tasteful decor transport you to a different world. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between a cozy, intimate atmosphere and an elegant setting suitable for both a casual dinner and a special occasion. The menu is a comprehensive journey through Indian cuisine, featuring a wide array of options from different regions. Whether you're a fan of classic Tandoori dishes, rich and creamy curries, or vegetarian specialties, you'll find something to delight your palate. A personal favorite is the Butter Chicken, which is incredibly tender and bathed in a perfectly spiced, luscious sauce. The Lamb Vindaloo is another standout, offering a fantastic kick of heat without overpowering the depth of flavor. What truly sets Flavours of India apart is the quality of their ingredients and the skill of their chefs. Every dish is prepared with care, and the freshness is evident in every bite. The naan bread, baked fresh in the tandoor, is fluffy and warm, the perfect accompaniment to any curry. The service is also top-notch; the staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, always ready to offer recommendations or explain a dish. For those with dietary restrictions, the restaurant is very accommodating, with many gluten-free and vegan options clearly marked. The pricing is reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality and portion sizes. In summary, Flavours of India is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary experience. Read moreThis place has the WORST Indian food we have tasted in Canada.
We ordered around 8 dishes(veg and non veg), and the best was water and onion. They should know just by putting a fancy drinking glass, you cannot call yourself a fine dine. Their roti was bigger than the large pizza you have at other restaurants. If you sick and missing hospital food served in India, you can come and eat their dal. They have a short term memory loss where the chef forgot to add any spices in dishes and irony is they have a board outside which says "come and taste authentic taste of India".
I am 100% sure, there is no one in the restaurant who understands how Indian food tastes. I would prefer to stay hungry than to eat here.
Few things which we honestly felt after eating the food: -Their food was so bad that even Avengers with their superpower cannot improve it. There should be a strike by all Indians for the closure of this restaurant to maintain our respect. A visit to this restaurant should be added in every culinary course in Canada, on "how not to make Indian food" -Sanjeev Kapoor and Tarla Dalal will leave cooking after...
Read moreI have been eating here for years. Kingston is lucky to have such a variety of restaurants. I've noticed whether you get thai, chinese or indian, it is all relatively good (can't go wrong). However, in each category there is a clear winner. Flavours of India, for us, is that winner. The food is delicious, service is incredible. Good atmosphere and presentation. We have developed a relationship with the owners over time and just love this place. The reason why I'm positing this review now after many years of being a customer, is I've noticed no one is mentioning their Dhansak. Honestly, do yourself a favor and try their Dhansak. I getthe Lamb, but the curry is the same with whatever protein or just get veggie. This is hands down my favorite dish anywhere, for any type of food. Pair it with Garlic naan and Pulao rice.. Just yummy! I have enjoyed every dish I've ever tried there, but I always crave my Lamb Dhansak. Perfect mix of sweet and spicy, but 100% delicious. Try it and...
