Fry Frenzy's — Restaurant in Ontario

Listen. I’m not even exaggerating. Fry Frenzy has officially served me the best fries I’ve ever had in my life. Like, ever. The cheese pull on these things? Unreal. That garlic sauce? Chef’s kiss. I don’t even know how to describe it other than magical. You know food is good when you’re still talking about it hours later like it was a core memory.

My mom ordered the chicken wings and fries combo. They weren’t fried as hard as she likes them at first, so she asked if they could go a little crispier. They took them right back and refried them with no problem, no attitude, just kindness and great customer service. Everyone was so sweet, greeted us with a smile, and we legit left smiling too.

They even put our food in more travel-friendly trays so it stayed warm and crispy while we were on the go. That came in so clutch because we had a bit of a drive back to our hotel in Ann Arbor. And let me tell you — even two hours later, cold and microwaved, those fries STILL hit. The cheese was still stretchy and fresh. Do you know how rare that is?

The shop itself is cozy and welcoming. They’ve got little games like Jenga if you’re dining in, which made it feel super laid-back and fun. It had that small-business charm with big-time flavor.

Honestly, there wasn’t much in Windsor that blew me away, but I would come back just for those fries. That’s how good they were. 10 out of 10 recommend. Fry Frenzy, y’all really understood the assignment!

Ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and poutine for the first time and was really disappointed with the chicken shawarma wrap, which seemed more like a caramelized onion wrap than chicken because it was nowhere to be found. While I understand the "caramelized" onion might be their signature ingredient, it should not be added to the point that it overtakes the taste and just becomes unbearable. Ordered later at night around 10-ish probably, which is why the quality was bad? There were hardlu 2-3 pieces of chicken. Also, apparently, there was no option to deselect onions while placing an order.

The poutine, however, tasted good. The only problem with it was that it got stuck on the paper, and while eating poutine, the serving paper was coming off as well....

Had big shoes to fill, since it's the old Frenchy's. They did not disappoint. Chicken sandwich was juicy and quite flavourful. The wok special is delicious. Wonderful twist to a good stir-fry. Veggies are fresh, meat is tasty and the noodles are always cooked to perfection. I can easily see this being an everyday stop when I'm downtown. Thanks guys! Best of luck with future business.

I've now had the chance to try the jumbo smash burger and let me tell you! Amazing! 3 patties of Juicy beef, topped with flavourful cheese, spicy mayo, I asked to add mushrooms which they fried with the onions, lettuce, all in between a nicely toasted bun.
