Hot Tacos Restaurant - Windsor — Restaurant in Ontario

Second time trying this restaurant. The first time we ate inside food was good but waitress did not understand our questions but the main course was good. Ordered takeout tonight 6 tacos and hot taco fries with light guacamole on the fries and we ordered a side of rice. Instead we were only charged for 3 tacos and they put all the toppings for the hot taco fries in an container with alot of guacamole sauce and some of the rice was hard. Mind you we repeated our order 3-4 times over the phone. We called in once we got home and notice the order was wrong along with the rice being hard. We had to continue to repeat ourselves and they still were not understanding and wanted to argue back. They hung up the phone and I called back again requesting my order be corrected. After going back and forth with disrespectful staff I decided to just write my review here and forget about the money wasted it's not worth the hassle I will just take my business elsewhere. I asked for the managers name and to speak to the manager and they advised he is in Colombia and did not want to even give me his name I had to repeatedly ask for it. This could have been such a easy fix but very frustrating when u have to keep repeating and repeating what you said before they even grasp the concept of what the problem is. I have never experienced such poor customer service choosing to dispute with the customer over what the customer ordered when u were not even the employee who took the order. If the employee who took the order did not understand what we were asking she should have put another staff member on the phone to take our order it should not fall back on...

Frankly, downtown Windsor was the last place I expected to see an authentic Mexican restaurant and I am very happy to see it thrive. I've been stopping by here on occasion once or twice a month for the last year because it's across the street from my favourite coffee shop and it's quickly become one of my favourite places in the city. I've had so many fond memories of meeting up with friends and enjoying their specials menu. They honestly have something for everyone, and my particular favourite is the pork tacos; I've tried just about every variety they offer and all of them are delicious. The thing I enjoy most though are their complimentary chips and salsas, which are frankly just divine. Often I find myself asking the servers to bring another set of chips because one set just isn't enough split across my friends and I. Loved the hot tacos restaurants in Leamington and would go weekly! I was so excited that one opened closer to home. The food is amazing and authentic but the one thing that bothered me was we asked for water to drink and were charged $1.00 each person for a glass of tap water. I have never paid for water anywhere unless it was bottled. Of course, the charge was not mentioned and we were not given our receipts just the total amount of the bill. When I asked for the itemized receipt, it showed this and there was never any mention of the charge. I find this very sneaky and not good...
