Visited with my friend for the first time on Monday between 7-7:30pm. This place must be busy because many of the trays of sweets were almost gone. Starting with the sweets, they were really delicious. We got the pistachio baklava and the walnut baklava and a few of the pistachio rolls. All excellent! Not too sweet, could really taste the nuts. Excellent. And we also wanted to try the Dubai Chocolate as we had not tried this yet from anywhere. Loved it! Texturally it’s a pleasure to eat and the flavour is great. A must try! The reason why it’s not 5 stars is the location was not overly clean when we arrived, especially the floor, and the staff was not friendly. The girl we interacted with seemed bored. Maybe she was just tired, especially if it had been a busy day, but overall she did not leave us with a positive staff impression. The layout of the location is also not great. Have a narrow aisle to view the sweets and having to pay at the far end seems like a bad system, especially when it’s busy and you have paid and you have to push past other people. Not much can be done about that now, but it was a downside. But I did appreciate that you can buy by the single piece here. Many other Arabic sweet shops make you buy by the 1/2 kg minimum, so I liked that. I would return and buy sweets here again.

I recently visited Kunafa’s and ordered two slices of Kunafa. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The slices I received were overcooked and had an unusually salty flavor, which is not typical for Kunafa. Additionally, it seemed like I was given leftovers rather than proper slices, despite paying $5.99 for each. The Kunafa was also drenched in extra syrup, making it overly sweet and soggy. To make matters worse, the customer service was lacking. The lady at the front had a very bad attitude, which made the experience even less enjoyable. I believe they should focus more on improving the quality of their food and providing better customer service. For the price I paid, I expected a much better experience. 😤

Kunafas London is a gem for anyone who loves authentic Middle Eastern desserts and cuisine! The kunafa is absolutely divine – crispy, sweet, and perfectly balanced with gooey cheese and syrup. The portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic, transporting you straight to the Middle East. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a casual outing or celebrate a special occasion. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring you have an excellent dining experience. If you’re in London and looking for a dessert or savory treat that stands out, Kunafas is the place to go. Highly recommend their pistachio kunafa – it’s a game-changer!

Kunafa, baklava, and Dubai chocolate are three exceptional desserts that highlight the rich culinary heritage of the Middle East, and experiencing them was a true delight. Kunafa, with its delicate layers of shredded pastry, offers a unique texture that is both crispy and gooey. The warm, melted cheese filling combined with the sweet syrup creates a wonderful contrast that is simply irresistible. Each bite is a celebration of flavor, making it a standout choice for dessert lovers. Baklava, on the other hand, is a classic treat made from layers of flaky filo pastry filled with a mixture of nuts and sweetened with fragrant syrup. The crunchy nuts and the sticky sweetness come together in a perfect harmony, providing a comforting and indulgent experience. Finally, the Dubai chocolate adds a luxurious touch, often infused with exotic spices that elevate it beyond ordinary chocolate. The rich, velvety texture and unique flavors make it a memorable treat that lingers on the palate.

Our experience was made even more enjoyable thanks to Selda, our guide, who took the time to explain the history and significance of each dessert. She was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the culinary traditions of the region, which made her insights all the more engaging. Selda recommended various flavors and styles of kunafa and baklava, ensuring we got to taste the best offerings available. Her patience was remarkable; she encouraged us to ask questions and shared stories that enriched our understanding of the desserts. Selda's enthusiasm and dedication to providing us with a memorable experience truly made our tasting journey special. Thanks to her guidance, we not only indulged in delicious sweets but also gained a deeper appreciation for the culture and craftsmanship behind them. Overall, the combination of exquisite desserts and Selda's exceptional hospitality created an unforgettable experience that we will cherish.

I took the time to write all of this with honesty because this is how...
