Updated and reduced to 2 stars from 5. Unfortunately recently the quality of the pizza slice has suffered here. Not only does the cheese used seem to be of a lower quality than what is was last year this time but they do not have as many fresh, hot, and recently made slices available as they once did.

The last several times I have visited this pizzeria the person behind the counter has lied to me when I have asked if they have anything baking in the oven that will be coming out soon by telling me that they don't. I have asked this question because upon entering and looking at their pizza slice options they have 2 or 3 slices left of what appears to be pizza that has been sitting there for at least 45-60 minutes if not longer. Pizza left sitting for 45 minutes or longer even under a warming light should not be sold, it should be discarded or if sold reduced in price and the customer should know it's old pizza and that more will be coming out from the oven shortly so that he has the option to wait for fresh pizza

Several times now the pizza slices I have bought at Stobie's has been old and lukewarm and there has been nothing to replace it according to the person/s behind the counter which is an obvious lie told in an attempt to sell old pizza at full prize to walk-in customers who may be naive enough to believe it. What kind of pizzeria which is known for selling pizza slices does not have not just one but several pizzas already made and baking ready to come out when there is only 2- 3 slices left to choose from on the display trays?

Something has changed here in the way that quality is managed or perhaps due to staff turnover the new staff cares less than previous staff about making sure customers are satisfied but whatever the case and the reasons the result is a pizza slice that is not as good, not as hot, not as tasty as it was and the fact that customer service has become sloppy and does not seem to mind treating a customer as if he were a fool does not help.

Consider buying pizza or pizza slices elsewhere in downtown London next time you get the craving as there are several competing brands in the downtown core that offer a comparable product that seems to...

DESPERATE OWNER----I go to pick up two sliced they have none.. so I willingly waited for 10 min for a fresh pizza, next thing you know I get home and the bottom of my pizza is overdone. I wish I had taken pictures as the OWNER of the company turned it into some kind of investigation. I didnt get a chance to call the next day even though I had the burnt 1 whole slice sitting in my appt as the other slice we shared and choked down. I called 3 days later to let them know my pizza was burnt and hinting a replacement for at least the one slice OR even just a HEADS up in general that a regular customer is extremely disappointed. THE OWNER JOHN STOBIE proceeded to tell me that he was going to look at the cameras to see when I came in etc. (even after the fact I paid with debit and it showed 12.00 on the 22nd of Feb) The owner called me back after viewing cameras? And told me he found someone wearing a Green coat that walked in with other guys and had a slice purchased for them. HE PROCEEDED to AGAIN tell me he doesn't beleive me and he possibly thinks this person in the green coat is myself!? He kept me on the phone for 20 min basically arguing his non vi sable point so I finally replied with "I don't even want your free slice of pizza". I really couldn't beleive it and knew John Stobie wasn't all there when he asked me if someone purchased me a slice?! Because he saw someone on the cameras with a group of guys near the time frame having a slice bought for them!?

He bragged to me about making 1 million dollar in sales? but hes concerned about a free slice? Acted as if ALMOST a criminal investigation. Pathetic .... As much as I love their slices. WONT ever be going back. Neither will my drunk friends. KARMA. I'll make sure to check back on your so called "booming" business in 20...

So this was my first stop on a tour of what London has to offer from a pizza perspective!

Stobie’s offers a unique pizza that although may not satisfy all my taste buds, i feel as though this will be considered great pizza for the vast majority! I will rate the pizza on a 5 point system based on 4 main categories;

Pepperoni-5/5 Great taste and perfect amount almost a pepperoni in every bite, zero complaints.

Cheese-3/5 So this is a touchy subject, the cheese tastes fairly good, a generous amount as well, my complaint is that my pizza cheese tasted like a cheese curd instead of that classic stringy, gooey classic mozzarella. For some this is a welcomed change, for me its not unfortunately.

Sauce-4/5 The sauce is unique and although i prefer a more traditional sauce that is more runny, i have to say texture aside this has a great taste to it.

Crust/Undercarriage-5/5 Phenomenal, cooked to perfection. A light flakey crust with a soft doughy interior. I wouldnt change it at all.

Overall a solid pizza worth trying! Staff is amazing and i would rate it a 5/5 just for the staff alone, but my review is solely...

Stobbies: A London Institution That's Still Slapping If we're talking about iconic London eateries, we have to talk about Stobbies. This unassuming, hole-in-the-wall pizzeria has been a local favourite since 1997, quietly satisfying cravings with their delicious, no-frills pies. Family-owned and operated, Stobbies has a genuine, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like part of the family. I have such fond memories of discovering Stobbies back in my high school days, and I've been a loyal customer ever since. It's the perfect spot for a quick and satisfying bite. But what really keeps me coming back is their Canadian pizza. It's a true masterpiece 🍁 They've created a pizza that's both comforting and craveable. If you're looking for a taste of London pizza history, you absolutely have to check out Stobbies. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic almost got my cousin's order in Italian but I made sure to save this poor guys having to do a long order . Great to have an Italian excited about a Canadian Pizza. Apparently it's deserving to have a Canadian name on the Italian product fantastic bacon salami (my cousin means pepperoni) and funghi (mushrooms). Not as greasy as the New York Pizza he said it's a very interesting Take on Tuscany Pizza and worth the trip to London. I was told to say you should be proud of yourself for making such a great Italian product yet deliciously Canadian. My cousin wants to mention everyone who sells pizza should speak Italian he is going to visit the Prime Minister on Thursday when he's in London to tell him to pass a law about that. But still thinks this is a fantastic pizza for Canada and would do great in Italy.
