Today Cafe (Wyandotte St W) — Restaurant in Ontario

I'll start off with saying this space is decorated really nicely. There is seating but, if it's busy, you might have to wait for a table. Really cool ambiance, kpop playing in the background, and a selfie station to take pics with friends. We tried the korean dogs, we were slightly disappointed. They weren't cooked through fully, and though they had a good taste, eating raw dough wasn't fun. We did let them know and they replaced them but, out of 2 replacements, one was still under done. I didn't want to complain again, so we just left it. I will say it may be growing pains as the place was still very new when we visited. So, hopefully, they've got the hang of it or will soon. We also tried their croffles (or cronuts?) and unfortunately, you can taste they've been refrigerated over night and they were hard. Their bubble tea wasn't up to expectations either, with the tapioca being way too chewy and stuck together. We had one of their cakes and that was the best thing we tried. Just ordered through door dash. We had the potato beef and the panko beef. The inside of the breading was raw and mushy inside and the potato outside was so soft. Not crispy at all like I was thinking it would be. We paid $7.99 for a strawberry matcha which never arrived. I messaged door dash driver and they said the cafe never gave them the drink. Called the restaurant and they said to contact door dash for a refund. We also ordered the chicken mushroom rice bowl. While the rice and mushroom sauce was very good the chicken on top was hard as rock, like it had been reheated in a microwave too long. Ordered on Uber eats and I highly recommend the half beef hot dog, half mozza with no sugar or the full mozza with no sugar! Super delicious! I asked if they could add spicy mayo to it and they did and it was amazing so I recommend that as well! 🤩👌 I also ordered the crispy seasame milk curds which were very lightly sweet which is the best part of Asian desserts.
