This was my first time trying Nigerian food and it was amazing! I had the half fried rice/half jollof rice with chicken, pounded Yam add on and fried plantain. I’m in love! The spice was just right, the rice is so flavourful and the chicken (even though tough, but I believe it is traditionally meant to be like that) was very delicious and fit in nicely. The puff puff were sweet but not too sweet and definitely a unique treat. Such reasonably priced food too! I got big orders and total was $33! So amazing! Please try it if you’re thinking about it, it’s so unique. I am going to come back and try new things on their menu. Also, order for pick up was available hot, fresh and ready right on time! Highly recommended is the plantain and rices…absolute must try!

I can't speak for dine in experience but my delivery order was a disaster. Chicken was so dry and chewy that I can hardly bite into it. Literally the worst piece on meat I have ever had in years. Gave up eating on this subpar garbage after 2 bites and it went into a bin. Fried rice on the other hand was pretty flavorful and okay although it really isn't anything other than rice mixed with frozen veggie mix and some seasonings. But I didn't order this for $18(fees incld) to just feed on rice. Not gonna order again.

Really a place for take-out. They have such a small space to sit in. Maybe 4 seats or so. But I was on my way to a park, so no matter. Had the Wednesdays only ayamase stew and a side of plantain. Just a wonderful meal. Nigerian stews are some of the best in the world, and this is the best in the city imo. The owner/chef who served up the stew was such a nice person to talk to. Put this little place on your must-try list.

It's frustrating when you leave a place a top review and then they let you down. That is exactly what happened tonight. I ordered the half fried rice and half jollof rice. The order was accepted and it wasn't until the delivery was seconds from being picked up that I received a phone call to tell me they had run out of jollof rice and my order would just be fried rice. At that point, I was kind of between a rock and a hard place as I was waiting on dinner and it was about to be picked up. Another time I think I will cancel the order because what I received was disappointing. Part of the reason was that I was expecting the jollof but part of it was for other reasons. First, my food was stone cold. Nothing is less appetizing than cold food and microwaving most restaurant foods to warm them up changes the flavour. Secondly, I recognized the splice blend in the fried rice because I have it in my cupboard. Cool Running Fried Rice blend. You can buy it in several grocery stores. I could have made my meal at home and I probably should have. The jollof would have saved the meal, but I was let down and now I am not sure if I want to patronize this establishment any more. I think part of me figured they might try to make it better by adding a little something, I wasn't going to ask as I find it tacky to say "well, throw in free food" but I have had several other establishments do that as well.

Very very disappointing especially when you see my original review still below, it was posted about four months ago.

__ OLD REVIEW BELOW I have missed out several times on trying Jollof Rice and finally was able to have it as part of my meal from Vas, and it was excellent. I loved my meal and the portion was quite large. Excellent food overall although the chicken still being on the bone makes it a bit messy and...

Two good things about this place! You certainly get your money's worth and they leave you alone to enjoy your meal.

Some not so good things. Arrived at 11 am and they were not open yet! It advertises that it opens at 10. While we sat in the parking lot deciding where to go next, a gentleman opened the front door, so we stayed. Once inside we noticed little tables and some chairs piled high with used household articles and shoes for sale! Not really conducive to dining! The floor needed a good scrubbing. Very small place. Maybe room for 12 people comfortably.

Probably will...
