Dined here Sunday Jan 12th arrived about 415pm left around 530pm. Sat quickly. Server came over got our drink order and about 5 mins later our food order. Salad and Bread came out delivered by a runner. Our food came out by a runner Chicken Parm with liguine noodles with Rose Sauce and Fettuccine Alfredo. When we ordered we asked for extra sauce. Our pasta came with little to no sauce. We asked the runner for extra sauce. Our server brought the sauce and that was the last time he came to our table. He served the table of 9 (7 adults & 2 kids) beside us and completely ignored us.. Not once did he check in to see how we were doing or offer more salad or bread. He walked past us and was around us a dozen times. We sat there for a good 10 mins after eating and he walked by saying you need two boxes. He came back to the table with that and the bill. I spoke up and said it's on separate bills and made a point to say that we would have liked more salad and bread and that he never even checked on us. His excuse was oh I was caught up with my other table. He then tried to give us a brownie for dessert or a free coffee. He did give us a small salad to go. He had a table of 9 and our table of 2 that were litterly 5 feet apart of each other and not once even acknowledged us. Worst service ever and it's really sad that when you order pasta there is little to no sauce. NEVER COMPLAIN as I have been a server for many years and know. I always tip 18% to 20% and he got nothing. Hope his table of 7 adults tipped him well as that is the only table that got good service. It was also freezing in there we wore our coats the whole meal. Not the 1st time at this location that the service...
Read moreI took my mom and daughter out to lunch yesterday. The waitress we had was TERRIBLE. I wish I got her name and complained to the manager while I was there.
We were there some time between 2:00-3:30 time frame
We ordered the lunch cheese capaletti and it said it was suppose to come with a home loaf and we didn’t get that. My daughter got a kids meal and was never given her dessert or even asked what she wanted. I paid for $5.99 all you can eat salad and bread and the waitress was so stingy she never asked or brought more the the first and only bread she brought. When asking for take out containers I asked for a second bread which she said she’s not supposed to do that. Even tho it was going to be eaten there… While trying to get the second bread I paid for, she proceeded to tell us that the managers are all back from being at a retreat and she feels like they are watching over her like a hawk. Like did I ask? Maybe it’s because your terrible at your job is all I thought. She never asked how our food was nor did she asked if we needed any refills or anything
The only person that was getting watched over like a hawk (her words) was me as I was paying the bill and giving her a tip which made me super uncomfortable and felt like I had to leave a bigger tip then I wanted and that she earned from her crappy customer service.
If I could rate the service 0/5 I would, because it doesn’t wasn’t 1/5.
Prior to yesterdays lunch I always preferred this location but after yesterdays experience I would tell everyone to stay...
Read moreI have been going to East Side Mario's in Toronto since 2015 and experience I had at this location yesterday evening was extremely disappointing. We were greeted in by a friendly female hostess who directed us to our booth and then came our waiter - he did not even try to hide the fact that he did not want to be there. I get it these are difficult times and I myself work in customer service realize we can't have a smile on our face at all times but come on. We ordered two different pastas with a Caesar and garden salad, told our waiter three times that no bacon at all in our Caesar salad due to religious reasons and he seemed to note it down. We started eating the salads when they came and after 4-5 bites my wife found a small piece of what appeared to be bacon in her salad. She pulled out the salad from bottom of bowl and there were more pieces of bacon. We tried to get attention of our waiter who appeared to be only one actually working the tables, he came over and just said "why would he do that to me". He took the salad back and brought another Caesar salad from the kitchen, this time assuring it was 'all good'. Waiter did not have any basic customer service skills, our mood for the night was already ruined and so we just paid our bill, packed our pastas and left. Not impressed and this dinner date mishap ruined our night, not to mention the effects of their complete disregard for someone's dietary and religious...
