Regrettably, my recent dining experience at this establishment was profoundly disappointing, particularly from the perspective of someone who appreciates authentic Mexican cuisine. I opted for both chicken and steak tacos, anticipating a delightful meal. However, the reality was starkly different.
The meat in both tacos was notably tough and lacked any discernible flavor, making for an unpalatable experience. This was, without exaggeration, the most unsatisfactory rendition of tacos I have ever encountered. The tortillas did not redeem the meal either, sharing the same tough and unappealing texture as the meat.
Such quality is not what one expects when seeking out an authentic culinary experience, and it's disheartening to see these standards not being met.
Moreover, the meal had an adverse effect on my well-being, leaving me feeling unwell for several hours afterward. This unfortunate outcome only adds to my dissatisfaction. It's telling when a restaurant requires payment upfront, perhaps indicative of a lack of confidence in the customer's willingness to pay post-meal, based on the quality served.
The person accompanying me shared in this disheartening experience, further affirming the consistency of the quality issues we faced. It is my hope that this feedback serves as a catalyst for improvement, as every patron deserves a meal that is both enjoyable and reflective of the rich culinary traditions it claims...
Read moreWe've ordered from here a couple of times over the past few years but the food quality has REALLY slipped.
In fairness, it was quite busy on this vist (the restaurant was nearly full, the owner was telling eat-in customers to return in 20-30 minutes. Take out orders were about 6 orders deep).
We placed our order: 2 steak burritos and 2 enchiladas (essentially the same)....and we made it simple-----no multiple side dishes..just rice). The order was handed to us in about 20 minutes-----we did not check the order until we arrived at our destination 10 minutes later.
Somehow, we ended up with essentially the right order EXCEPT instead of all rice for the side dishes, we received rice, beans, & nachos.
Enchiladas are normally "wet" but according to our dinner guests, "very soggy, hardly any filling and not much in the way of flavour." The burritos were both VERY soggy----the filling was supposed to be steak & rice....we're uncertain what it was, but it was flavourless.
Since we received nacho chips, they were crispy, without any salt at all----boring.
This is unfortunate since the last time we dined inside (2 years ago) and although not amazing, was decent authentic Mexican food. This time was incredibly disappointing.
For $79, we would have likely faired better at Taco Time...

To start off this isn't an authentic Mexican food restaurant. I was expecting a Tex-Mex experience regardless but was severely dissatisfied. I went in with my family for a quick meal but got a culinary lesson instead. The tortillas were of the worst possible quality, the beans were salty, the salad didn't taste fresh. Had a complaint about the tortillas not being good enough and that quickly became an issue for the workers there. The waitress was Colombian and could not understand what the issue with the tortillas were (since they don't consume them themselves). A chef helper came out to explain that they do not use any salt in their recipes (yet somehow MAGICALLY their food was salty). Not long after the owner of the place came out to ask very rudely what the problem was and what we wanted. He refused to listen to the simple complaint that was made. Said that "our people" were the only ones who ever complain, and kept saying that he could give us a refund and we didn't have to go back ever again. He seemed to be from Spain, so no actual Mexican employees appeared to be there.
Overall you're better off at a McDonalds or other...
