Pub 101 — Restaurant in Ottawa

Service was good, staff was friendly and the food was reasonably priced. The only drawback I could see was the food wasn't the greatest selection but otherwise everything was fine. 14-05-22 Service was slow, almost as if I was invisible had to keep asking for what ever (drink cutlery etc...). As usual the fries were good, but there was something different about the hamburger. I asked my server about it and she never got back to me with an answer. When I went to open the mustard notice it was expired. Didn't really bother me as I eat things past their expiry date all the time. 25-05-22 Service much better and friendlier but this time I sat at the bar. Fries were still great and hamburger better than my previous visit. Still not like the burgers I became accustomed to from them in the past, but this one is all right.

17-07-24 the last time I was here was in May of 2023. The reason I have not been back until now was that when I ordered chicken wings they charge me an extra 2,11$ for the ranch dressing & 2 carrots of carrots that seem to be suffering from anorexia! Today I visit the place at ~ 2PM & I never seen it so dead. Service was fine this time, all I had was one cider. I would have to say this is probably one of the very few pubs, bar or restaurants in the market & surrounding area that you can still get a cider for under 10$...

Hate to give this negative review, but I just haven’t had good experiences here. I wanted to like it for their portion sizes and price point, but the service is terrible. I have given this place a few chances. First time I went with a friend when they weren’t busy. The avocado in my sandwich was barely ripened. I’m usually non-confrontational, but when the waitress came by asking how was the meal, I was honest. All I said was “actually, the avocado is really hard and raw” and all she said was “oh... sorry” before walking away. Didn’t want to complain as the food was so cheap anyway. Came back another time with a group when it was moderately busy and the waitress left us without menus for 20 minutes, so we got up and went somewhere else. Didn’t want to come back here but a friend that loves this place convinced me to give it another try. This time, there was nothing wrong with the food, but my utensils were dirty and there were questionable dark particles floating around my water. I don’t know how I got unlucky enough to have bad experiences here every single time I’ve gone. Not sure if they are understaffed or just don’t care about the customer experience. Would recommend going to Warehouse or Laurier Social House for similar cheap...

I have been a longtime customer of Pub101's all you can eat wings on Monday nights, but unfortunately, my recent experiences have been disappointing. While the first plates of the night were usually good, I noticed that the wing quality declined as the night went on, with the wings starting to taste microwaved and overcooked, completely inedible... Additionally, there were long wait times between orders, with orders taking around 30 minutes to arrive on multiple occasions.

I was also disappointed to see that soft drinks were not included in the all-you-can-eat deal, and I was charged an additional fee for a small cup of blue cheese. These additional charges were unexpected and seemed very unreasonable.

I understand that Pub101 may be understaffed, but it would be great if they could work on improving their service times and providing better communication to customers about wait times. Overall, while I still enjoy the concept of all-you-can-eat wings on Monday nights, I hope that Pub101 can make improvements in the future to ensure a better experience for their customers.

I won't be back with my friends until I receive some assurance here that I will be given edible food and good service.
