Price: a bit pricey but worth it My experience: the negative reviews are flawed! The food is really good, the drink menu is extensive and there's so much to choose from. The service is friendly and fair wait times, despite it being packed. We did make reservations a day in advance for the outdoor patio. The cheese board is enjoyable, got the large which was a lot for three of us sharing. I tried the strong island which was tasty and strong 😅, the Rudolph and Stormy drink (their version of a Moscow mule I think), and an old fashioned which was my favourite of the 3 drinks. One friend got the Queen's Garden which is the beautiful purple drink with the petals in it. My other friend tried the steak sandwich, which looked and sounded great. My other friends shared the sliders which they also really liked and one other friend got the vegetarian poke bowl which she was surprised at how good it tasted. Found out near the end that they have mulled wine for a warm alcoholic beverage which I highly recommend for the winter patio experience. Love the vibes and art. Music was great Highly recommend this spot and will be back whenever I'm back in Ottawa đŸ„‚

After having read the controversial reviews, I was ready for not-the-best-time. But the experience was actually not so bad. We made a reservation at 6PM for indoor standard, but they initially seated us outdoor. They did re-seat us inside when we mentioned it, but it was odd of them to check our reservation which stated indoor, but still seated us outdoor. Great interiors - well decorated and aesthetic! No, the staffs here don’t respect the covid regulations - 90% of staffs have their masks under their noses, and one of them had his under his lips. The waitress were friendly and quick in service. The food and drinks were surprisingly very tasty and huge in portion. I got Chicken and Waffle, and it was very tasty. Just found it a little odd and funny that they put the food on a huge plate, leaving an empty chunk of space 😅 My friend enjoyed her fig flatbread as well. Overall: beautiful interior, tasty food, good service after some ‘confusion’, but not well covid-maintained.

Server CALLED ME CRAZY. I visited just the other day, we had an amazing service with a server named Alex but he had to clock out and we got referred to Angel. Angel offered the worst service I had ever seen in a bar/restaurant. She made very derogatory comments such as we got better things to do when asked about our own orders that werent fulfilled. She promised to call the initial server and sort things out but she lied and never even tried. She was very diminishing in her statements like calling My friend Crazy. HOW DO YOU CALL SOMEONE CRAZY FOR ASKING ABOUT THEIR OWN PAID ORDERS. Angel is just a very poorly spoken person with a very Unpleasant demeanor that offers the exact opposite of good customer service. YOU CAME TO WORK, ACT LIKE IT. Spent Over a Thousand just to get treated wrong in a restaurant that didnt even have enough business to even explain the poor service from Angel. Alex, on tue other hand was nothing but perfect.

Stepping into the elegant ambiance of the renowned five-star restaurant, the air is filled with the tantalizing aroma of gourmet cuisine, promising an unforgettable culinary experience. Eager to indulge in a gastronomic adventure, I entrust the task of selecting my meals to an AI-powered ordering system, confident in its ability to curate a flawless menu tailored to my preferences. For lunch, the AI selects a refreshing starter of citrus-infused crab salad, perfectly complemented by a glass of crisp Sauvignon Blanc, setting the stage for an exquisite meal ahead. The main course arrives, a succulent grilled sea bass drizzled with a delicate lemon butter sauce, accompanied by a medley of seasonal vegetables and truffle-infused mashed potatoes, each bite a symphony of flavors. As the afternoon unfolds, I indulge in a leisurely brunch experience, courtesy of the AI's discerning palate, which surprises me with a decadent spread of eggs Benedict crowned with velvety hollandaise sauce and a side of crispy bacon. Paired with a freshly brewed cappuccino, the brunch becomes a delightful interlude, offering a perfect balance of savory and indulgence, leaving me eagerly anticipating the evening ahead. As dusk descends, dinner unfolds with the grace and sophistication befitting a five-star establishment, as the AI orchestrates a culinary symphony that delights the senses and ignites the palate. The starter arrives—a delicate amuse-bouche of foie gras atop a brioche crouton, accompanied by a glass of vintage Champagne, signaling the beginning of an extraordinary dining experience. The main course is a masterpiece of culinary artistry, as the AI presents a perfectly seared Wagyu steak, accompanied by truffled pommes Anna and a rich red wine reduction, each bite melting tenderly on the tongue. As the evening progresses, the dessert arrives—a decadent chocolate soufflĂ© infused with hints of Grand Marnier, served alongside a scoop of Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream, a fitting conclusion to a remarkable meal. Throughout each course, the attentive staff ensures that every need is met, their impeccable service elevating the dining experience to new heights of luxury and refinement. The restaurant's ambiance, with its soft lighting and understated elegance, provides the perfect backdrop for an evening of culinary indulgence and sophisticated charm. As I reflect on the day's culinary journey, I am filled with gratitude for the seamless integration of technology and tradition, which has allowed me to savor the finest flavors the world has to offer with unparalleled ease and sophistication. Each dish, meticulously crafted and expertly paired, speaks to the passion and dedication of the restaurant's culinary team, who have mastered the art of creating unforgettable dining experiences. As I bid farewell to the restaurant, my senses ablaze with the memory of each exquisite flavor and aromatic nuance, I carry with me the knowledge that I have experienced not just a meal, but a culinary masterpiece, made possible through the perfect marriage of human creativity and...

Over-hyped and thoroughly underwhelming. My friend's and I had placed a reservation and were looking forward to having our girl's Xmas dinner here. When we arrived they stated we had to sit outside on the patio even though we had a reservation. We requested to be sat inside and we were told we could not be accommodated. Mind you, they had several unoccupied tables inside at the time. The table we were seated at was comically big and did not fit the chairs on one side and the couches on the other side. The table came up to our shoulders and we could barely hear our friends on the other side of the table. When the waitress came by we once again asked about the chances of us sitting inside to which she replied "there's a 30 percent chance that would happen". She asked if we were ready to order and when we said yes and my friend started to say the snacks we wanted the waitress turned on a dime and didn't come back for 20 mins. The bar staff seems to be more interested in making eyes at one another than helping customers. We decided to order drinks and some snacks against our initial reaction to just get up and leave. The "herbed and spiced nuts" were clearly just salted nuts. The kettle chips with jamaican spice was clearly just miss Vickie's chips (the bottom of the bag at that) with a spicy mayo dip. While we were having our drinks, a piece of wood from their makeshift patio fell on patrons across from us. There seemed to be little apology or any acknowledgement of this happening. Since we were seated outside we asked if they could turn on the patio heater and our waitress informed us that it was out of propane. The washroom was not maintained and was pretty gross for a quality establishment. As we were settling up our bill a group of two women came and sat on the chairs beside us (one chair had a drip from the roof since it was raining that night) the hostess immediately gave these women what looked like snuggies in their original packaging, however these were never offered to us despite our requests about the heater and being moved inside. Overall thoroughly unimpressed with the whole experience, this place seems to rely heavily on their aesthetics and "vibe" which was not that impressive. I believe it may cater to an industry crowd but had little regard for their other customers. We had to laugh at how awful the whole night was and we were so happy to have left this place to go home and order a pizza and not waste...

To the girl this happened to! I’m so sorry and I hope you read this! Or at least I hope the owners read it! You don’t not need to flirt with customers! This guy posted this on a public forum for thousands on people to see! So if you have a protected disability and get fired for not being flirtatious enough for the customers
here’s your receipt! I have screen shots of “bar daddy’s” post to prove it! Just message here with a email in case it gets taken down
I’ll send them! This is disgusting and I’m tired of seeing male chauvinist ruining it for good hard working honest women just because we have to smile and be “playful”.

"You should smile more"

I run a "trendy" downtown restaurant/lounge/club. One of my female bartenders has 'resting uninterested face', she's good at making cocktails, but due to lack of customer engagement, she doesn't bring in a good tip percentage. I had a chat with her about being more engaging with customers and trying to be more playful/friendly with guests, part of that included smiling while bartending. Her first reply to my critique was saying back at me "you should smile more."

I don't want to force someone to seem happy, and I don't want to come off as just another man telling a woman that she "smile more", but this is a customer service industry and I want my staff to make guests feel welcomed and treated warmly.

I brought up being more engaging, playful, interactive, and other things, but at the end of the day, yeah, I want her to smile more. That's the job, smile and give great service for better tips and customer experience.

Is there a different phrasing that isn't so...
