Berbere Chicken — Restaurant in Ottawa

OMG ! You absolutely have to try this hidden gem. I randomly ordered offer of uber eats cause I wanted to try something different and unique to me. I am from Trinidad and love extra extra spicy food and this restaurant caught my attention cause you can choose your spice level. Well they delivered 1000% !! I have had the beef bowl, chicken bowl and chicken wrap. All were delicious and tasty and the portions are above and beyond for the two for one price! Today they sent me extra food just to try and I felt badly cause I don’t want them to lose money. So if you read this review just trust me and try it out. Choose your spice level it can be mild or it can be deadly the choice is yours. I have to say the beef bowl has been my favourite so far. It tastes like Caribbean Stew Beef which makes me miss home:!

This is two restaurants sharing a kitchen: an Ethiopian restaurant and an Indian restaurant. It seems to only be run by two men.

Came here last week, ordered the lunch special, and only received the rice, veggies and meat, even though the menu stated there was a dessert and bread included.

The men running the place were nice enough, but the food was not good at all. Couldn't finish my dish, and was scared of getting food poisoning. The place seems kind of run down, and didn't smell great.

They also don't accept tap as payment.

I hope the restaurant(s) can do better in the future, because it's an interesting concept, but I won't be coming back.

It's a great location, but the space is in need of a serious makeover, more staff to run the place, a proper menu, and better...

Had a pretty dissapointing experience with them ordering via Uber Eats. I ordered 2 beef bowl and plantains, they cancelled the order saying they didn't have plantains. I ordered 2 beef bowls and some chicken, they cancelled the order saying they didn't have chicken. I finally just ordered the 2 bowls and they got here without the vegetables. It was just beef on rice, which was fine but not really what we ordered (based on the menu). Portion size is pretty small for the price, the taste is not bad but not having half your menu, cancelling customers orders, and not providing the items as listed when they order is not what I'm looking for when...
